Many hugs! I think the other advice here is worth following, things can seem very overwhelming until you write it downβ¦ and then once thatβs done, you can see about getting help of some kind.
Iβve done thatβsomething happens and I feel like my whole world is falling apart and then I write it down. After a while I look at it and it doesnβt seem as bad and I can start to think my way out of it. There is a way for you to get relief and the help your parents will need. I feel thatβbut weβre here for you to vent if you need to.
August 14, 2009 at 3:06 am #779758I am so sorry to hear about your dad! Cherisherself did have some great advice! I can relate a little to what you are going through, and it can be so agonizing. *hugs*

August 16, 2009 at 9:24 pm #779761Hello everyone. Sorry I havenβt written anything until today, but where I was staying had no internet access. I also want to thank everyone for thier prayers and kindness. I appreciate all of it. Well β my dadβs surgery went very well. He ended up having a triple bybass. Heβs doing okay β he had an incident today with heart palpitations. The doctors were able to treat him successfuly and apparently itβs not uncommon to have that occur after this surgery. I saw him today, and he looked so weak and sick it tore me up inside. I know he has a long recovery ahead of him. Itβs hard to feel βgoodβ about the situation right now. Heβs not out of the woods yet β but heβs better of for having the surgery. Iβm still in a emotional fog right now, but I still hoping for the best.
Despite thier isolation, my parents have alot of friends and family ( including my sister and I) who have offered to help. This helps alleviate some of my overwhelment I had earlier this week. My biggest concern still is if something happens while my dad is at home. The closest hospital is an hour away. Once heβs home, he wonβt have access to immidate care if he needs it. But what will be will be and I know things will work themselves out. Heβs not going home untill Wednesday or Thursday, and it may be even later, depending on his condition.
Iβll be returning to my parents in about a week to help out, and weβll see how that plays out.
I need to remember to post some pics of my parents animals. Iβm sure some of us would get a kick out of that. Thanks again so much everyone. Iβll make sure to you posted as things happen.
August 16, 2009 at 11:46 pm #779762Iβm so glad his surgery went well β I wish him a speedy recovery. But donβt forget to take care yourself as well β when you are worried about someone else itβs easy to neglect your own health! Iβll continue to pray for him and send healing thoughts his way.
August 17, 2009 at 12:32 am #779763Very glad to hear the surgery went well. Hang in there!
