Since it has been 7 years since I had my last… how long does it take before the eyes change to the color they are going to be? I can’t remember. I know they start out blue… but I can’t remember how long it takes before they change.
My first girl has brown eyes, my 2nd has hazel and I am wondering what color these will be on Candace. 😀
November 21, 2008 at 11:26 am #742237Well, Chloe is 8 months, and I think her eyes are starting to change, but I am not sure. I can start to see blotches in her eyes, which means she’ll probably have hazel.
From what I read, it takes about a year. 😀
November 21, 2008 at 2:48 pm #742238Alyssa is 10 months and her eyes are still blue . I believe its at 6 months they start to change if they are going to . but my cousins daughter had blue eyes till she was 1 1/2 now they are brown so i guess it varies by person .
When i was a teenager i started getting orange rings around my pupils and the iris turned more gray than blue . but i think my orange is from all my mineral deficiencies but they do look unique 🙂
November 21, 2008 at 11:32 pm #742239Thanks for the answers. I hope her’s stay blue, it would be neat since my mom had blue eyes… 😉
November 21, 2008 at 11:49 pm #742240my niece’s eyes are already hazelish.. and she’s just 3 months.. they were blue when she was born.. my sister is hoping they stay hazel though..
November 22, 2008 at 4:44 pm #742241I must be a freak (like we don’t already know that), I got to keep my baby blues!!
November 22, 2008 at 8:58 pm #742242I’m pretty sure I was born with brown eyes…. the earlist pics I’ve seen I had brown eyes (that my eyes aren’t closed lol)… and my brother was born with steel grey (my mom wished he’d have kept them, but they’re green now).
November 24, 2008 at 1:41 am #742243In my family they sometimes don’t start until over 2 years of age, and then there’s the freaks like me who’s start changing again sometime around 13 years, and change depending on Mood, time of day, amount of sleep, etc, etc… And I don’t mean little changes but often incredibly big huge, and contently noticeable changes.

That’s awesome! Mine have such a gray base, that even the ‘clear’ contacts that they insist on putting a tint on them (I miss being able to get truly clear contacts) change my eye color a bit. I had a bear of a time explaining it to an eye doctor one time (I’m extremely sensitive to color), since they aren’t supposed to make a difference. Make them look a little bit more blue. My eyes are an odd shade of green hazel. If I wear green, it will help my eyes reflect more green though. Blue, and my eyes will show a bit more blue.
Two friends I know have odd eyes – one eye green, one eye blue. They look so kewl!
