LOL! He’s actually my baldest baby. Each of my babies have had progressively less hair. Weird. My firstborn… you could have French-braided her hair from the start.November 14, 2008 at 10:15 pm #740611Congrats to you too!!
And he’ll be a welcome addition to Khym, ’cause I believe there are very few Born “on” the forum boys!! Someone correct me if I’m wrong But now there’s Khym, and Mohan… Why is my brain trying to tell me we have another boy, but not divulging the info on who?
November 14, 2008 at 10:42 pm #740612I’m expecting a boy, was it me?

November 15, 2008 at 6:54 pm #740614Do they? Hmm… I’m adopted, but was born with mega-hair, according to my baby photos. I’m wondering if it has something to do with the hair color itself; each of my (4) kids have had progressively lighter hair at birth as well.
My first was born with black hair (which was eventually replaced with dark blonde, her dad’s hair color), my second with very dark brown hair (also replaced with dark blonde), my third with dark blonde, and my last with medium blonde.
Go fig.
Mohan is also my only child born with “slate” colored eyes — that indiscernible blue-grey-green-brown color that may turn blue later (which would be very cool). All my other kids have varying brown eyes.
November 15, 2008 at 7:24 pm #740615They used to think that blue was a recessive gene and would be run over by brown eyed genes, but not always. It really all depends on if both parents carry the blue eyed gene, if they do then there is a good chance that blue will win out.
However, that being said, if one parent doesn’t carry any blue eyed genes and only brown, the chances of a child of theirs ending up portraying blue eyes is reduced considerably, hazel or green might show up, but blue will likely be out. Just depends on if both parents carry blue eyed genes or not.
Howver, all of your children will carry the genes for blue eyes if their father is blue eyed, so many of your future grandchildren will likely have blue eyes.
Just some of my genetic classes showing up here, guess I learned more than I thought! LOL!
Either way, he’s a gorgous boy and regardless of what color his eyes end up, you are still gonna be beating girls off of him with sticks later. *grin*

Genetics are a trip. Even more so in a multi-racial situation. You never quite know what you’re going to get.
