Hello everyone!
I will be away at a convention (Anthrocon in Pittsburgh) from tomorrow (June 22) until June 29th or 30th! I will have limited internet during this time because I will probably be working from the moment my eyes open in the morning till I hit the pillow!! However my husband will be helping me check my emails. If you have any problems, Forum related or otherwise, please EMAIL ME to let me know during this time. Repeat: EMAIL ME!!! I’ve always wanted to go to a “furry” con. I’ve only been to anime conventions and a single comic book convention. Curious to see how a fandom based on… pretty much art itself, works!

The fandom is all about custom art, of their characters, for the most part. This means taking commission work to be completed by the end of the convention so that the customer can pick it up. I got in a bit over my head… I had over 24 small full watercolors to do between Friday and 3pm Sunday! This is while trying to talk to everyone that visits my seller’s table, setting up my art show, and attending several events. Madness!! I didn’t sleep nearly at all. Each painting takes me several hours to do!
The highlight was meeting and hanging out with James Gurney, the creator of Dinotopia. He was very nice and he told me he admired me! I was so flattered. He also is given a singe ribbon to award in the art show full of hundreds of artists and he awarded it to one of my paintings. A very humbling experience!!I still have a lot of work to do including three duck stamp paintings and a big show later this month so I will continue to be spotty however I will do my best to pop in once a day if possible. As always if there are any problems please do email me!
