January 31, 2014 at 1:14 pm #908273I love the colors on him. The antiquing is perfect.
I’ll admit I’m a bit weirded out by the eye, though…

I like the deep-set eye! Very pretty dragon.
January 31, 2014 at 6:01 pm #908286Very nice. I’m not a big fan of black antiquing but this looks good. All metallic is a difficult palette to work with I think. I especially like how the cheek and jawline turned out.

February 1, 2014 at 12:05 am #908294Turns out I used the wrong eyes, so she’s wrecked now. Darn. Thanks, anyhow!
February 1, 2014 at 12:25 am #908297I still think that the smaller eyes look good on the dragon.

Not wrecked at all. If you don’t like the look, you can remove the eyes; if you used white glue, it’s even easier. You need to put a few drops of acetone/nail polish remover on the eye, one at a time. It’ll eat the glue and loosen the eye. Then you flick it off with a toothpick. You might need to retouch the paint around the eyes, depending, but once that’s done, you can glue in new eyes.

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmFebruary 1, 2014 at 7:20 am #908313When I had to change some defective eyes on a poad, Susie told me to put a drop of water on each eye and let it sit and then gently try to swirl it around with a paintbrush to get under the eye or use a toothpick or something to gently pry it out. If it doesn’t budge put another drop on and keep trying to get the eye to move. If you used white glue, water can loosen it enough to lift it out. Just be careful though as if it gets too wet, the eyelids can chip when trying to get the eye out.
Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!
