Has anybody had to replace their central air-conditioning recently? If so what make and model did you purchase and are you satisfied with it? Or does anybody have any idea what would be the best brand to replace it with?

Our central air conditioning is called opening the windows.
        I know, I’m a huge help. Sorry.

Trane is a good one.. they have some really good new units out… and they worked payments into the electricity bill for it…

and had one of those energy star discounts on it…

Actually, ours is too! 😆 Our air conditioning unit was Montgomery Ward (to give you an idea how old it was), and we never replaced it! I hope you find a good one!

Have you considered a heat pump? It actually did lower my electric bill somewhat.

A heat pump is what is in the house now. The community I live in is total electric and until now it has worked great but it is approachng 12 years old.

              Thanks for your input

I have fans. Because everything else costs money and the fans were free. Therefore they are marvelous.

No one is being of much help here, are they?

Fans… That’s what we have too. But sometimes, it’s true it’s just not enough…
