Just came back from the doctor, sigh…it looks like I’ll be wearing a knee brace for a while, and I’m not allowed to jog with the dog for at least three weeks either. He said I can walk, little bits at a time, and then gradually work my way back up to jogging. Grumble, grumble….growl…hiss.

Better to let it heal than mess it up so badly that you can no longer walk at all! Or so that you would need surgery! You’ll be okay. πŸ˜€

I feel like a cat with one of those cone things on its head….cranky. I keep picking at the brace…but if chris catches me with it off…. πŸ™„ πŸ™„ πŸ™„

Well at least it’s a brace you can take off to shower and whatnot. I broke a bone in my foot a couple of years ago and spent 3 months in a knee to foot plaster cast. Wasn’t allowed to put any, and I mean any weight on it at all. So it was baths for 3 months, ick. And it still freakin’ hurts when I’m on my feet for more than 30 minutes. πŸ™„

I’m sure glad that you went, and that a brace was the worst thing the doctor came up with. πŸ˜‰ Hopefully it will heal up for you and behave itself again. Did the doctor say if bicycling was any better for your knee than jogging? It might be a way of exercising with less stress on the joint. πŸ˜•

Biking will help it heal by keeping the weight off of the joint, and biking doesn’t have the impact that joging has so it’s better for the joint anyway. But with the repeated damage to her knee she needs to stay off of it for a few days to let the tendons and ligaments reset themselves. Then if she wants biking would be great. Yes that means I will have to fix my bike that I broke a few weeks ago so she can go. Oh, and thank you all for your comments. She never listens to me unless I tell her what she wants to hear. Thank you.

Take it from me and my Male, if it’s happened once, and you don’t let it heal right it’ll happen a second time, and you bloody well know if it happens the second time it’ll happen the third time if you don’t take care of it. Male just had a month light duty, where he wasn’t allowed to bend, crouch, carry, climb, or even lift more than 20lbs. He now knows how to Soder( I know that’s spelled wrong but spell check wont spell it right for me!!), and hates it. Oh and did you know that the average weight of strollers is apparently around 23lbs!!! 😯 😯 and our stroller is rather heavy, at least Khym was only around 17lbs. But in the Month since having Physio and what not for his Knee, this is the first pain free month he’s had in 18 months!! And the Arthritis from not getting it treated in the first place isn’t worsening!!
