well, pain from a dislocated knee wouldn’t inspire much artistic passion in me, but then I’m a wimp when it comes to serious pain πŸ˜† You say it’ll pop in on it’s own, eventually. mmmm, and if it doesn’t ? go see a doctor.

    I suggest doctor.

I did a similar thing, Didn’t go to the Dr. It seemed to get better than worse. Finally got tired of not being able to walk without pain and went in. Turned out while it was dislocated I had torn cartilage. Ended up getting knee surgery to fix it.

do I need to go to a general practice type doctor…or will the local urgent care do?

I would think the local urgent care might do. Not sure though haven’t been to one in ages.

urgent care will do. they can refer you if they need to

Urgent care should be able to pop that sucker back into place! My Dad’s shoulder goes out all the time, and I pop it in for him, but I’m medically trained. GO TO THE DR!!!!! πŸ˜€

Go before you tear something, which will require surgery to fix. I’ve been there. It’s not fun.

Chris is gonna be raggin on me for days that he won this one…. *rolls eyes*…bah…well, at least we got a pour done, which he helped with. I’m just painfully stubborn and hate to be slowed down. πŸ™„

Don’t be like me and not get something treated properly and then it bugs you for the rest of your life! LOL Trust me, it’s way more annoying then! πŸ˜†

I truly deeply dislike going to the doctor….getting me to go is akin to getting a cat to the vet…but since I seem to be majorly outvoted, I guess I’ll go. sigh… *flattens ears in distaste* Ah well…crud.

I know what you mean; if your feelings about going to the doctor are like my feelings about having blood drawn, then you have my deepest sympathies. But truly, it’s better to go to the doctor early on. If you wait and the problem gets worse–or has kittens–then you end up having to make more trips to the doctor than you would have if you’d gone early. And losing more time from your art, which would be super frustrating. Ligaments and cartilage really don’t like it when their joint gets dislocated, and they don’t heal well, so they have to be babied and protected early on.

I can hear the growling from here. Umm . . . tuna? πŸ˜‰

Now be a good girl and the doctor might even give you a nice lollipop. Or maybe your husband will. 😈

I’m sorry for your injury, but I definitely know where you’re coming from. I cracked a bone in my foot last December. I never go to doctor, so I just let it heal, but after long walks and when I place weight on it in cerain positions, it still bothers me a bit. I guess the question is how much you’re willing to risk and deal with. πŸ˜‰
