Have you finished him yet? If you have posted on him elsewhere and said it was done, I could not find it…sorry 😉

October 26, 2007 at 2:55 am #629438Very!! 😀
October 26, 2007 at 3:02 am #629439Awesome work! Was he being modeled for anything in particular?
October 26, 2007 at 5:28 am #629440Quite the memory, BDW.
October 26, 2007 at 10:40 am #629441OMG I can’t believe anyone would remember him!! 0_0
;_; …..would you believe he’s still sitting untouched…? >_< He's one of the many projects I've ignored in favore of other things and/or being lazy.
The last time I worked on him and posted on a forum for feedback, the response I got was pretty harsh and I just never got back in the saddle afterwards…it made it easy to put off working on him (I’m not a very motivated person ANYway)
So, alas, he is not done yet. But I do INTEND to finish him eventually!! ;_;
Actually, I’ve honestly had the urgent urge to sculpt this month, and I’ve been thinking about him a lot – but with life going crazy lately and my state on fire, not to mention all the griffins I’m supposed to be painting, he’s still on hold…Thanks so much for asking after Alex!! ;_; Wow!

Nothing in particular, really – I found a picture of a shire stallion that inspired me, and I just really really like big horses with feathers…and at the time I started him, I was huge into model horses and artist resins. I wanted to try my hand at making my own, and also at experimenting with oil based clay, and he’s the result.

What? Who was harsh? Tell me so I can go beat them over the head. He is awesome, and I love him, and I want you to finish him soooooooooooooooooo bad so that I can buy a resin of him. Only you can’t finish him right this second, because I’m still broke. But you must finish him soon!

Awesome work Arlla.October 28, 2007 at 8:13 pm #629446I definitely think he is lovely. You need to get sculpting so the rest of us can enjoy him too 🙂

Not always…I have what you call ‘CRAFT’ disease.
But this post impressed me so much that I had to look for it again to find out if it was finished.
And you should finish it Arlla, he looks great so far and it would make you an extra income once you get it cast. 😉 He does remind me of another sculpt ‘Voltaire’ is that why someone was harsh with you? They should not, horses are horses and there are only so many positions you can put him into and with some variations it should not mater.October 28, 2007 at 9:34 pm #629448Arlla! HE IS STUNNING! this could EASILY rival the sculptings I have seen on ConceptART. really, oh I can not wait to see him finished, he is amazing so far!
October 28, 2007 at 11:05 pm #629449WOW! Thats GREAT WORK!!!
