The best way to do it is get the anatomy underneath correct, and the rest will follow!

Now, since a gryphon is a fantasy critter, there is no defined way to attach the avian leg to the feline body- so all I can say is to use your references and develop a working knowledge of general anatomy, and BS the rest! XD How you put it all together in the end is up to you, and that’s what makes your art unique to you.

I can pic em, just can’t paint em…um draw em…um etc. But that’s okie dokie, I get to look at everyone else’s work. Lucky, lucky me. 😉

I take it to mean you do photography? THAT is an art in and of itself.. one that I am TERRIBAD at! So, we can envy one another.. LOL

I could finish him. I saved him as a reminder. Of what, I’m not certain. LOL. I’m actually in the middle of an important project right now, so maybe once I’m done I’ll finish up the GSD, just to prove to myself that I can. Then he’ll probably sit there and collect dust.. LOL
maybe, maybe not. I think bunches here would be interested in him and your progress on him. Problem right now for most is funds. Machineguts has an Arabian painting that’s out of this world, but no one has the money to buy him. 😕

the economy sucks!!! 👿Oooooh, could you point me in the direction of that painting? I’m a total horse nut since I was raised with them. Also, if I sold that picture, it wouldn’t be for much at all, seeing as how I’d just be happy to see it LEAVE. That thing taunts me.. haha!
