Wow, that was pretty intense. We always have crazy weather in New England but nothing too violent. Especially this time of year. We lost our storm door and gained a new lawn ornament!
Yea, that scared the CRAP out of me at about 3:30 this morning. I thought it hit the house! 😯 I felt like it shook me right out of the couch! *I was watching Family Guy, haha* These were when it happened so it was still dark out. We’re really lucky nobody got hurt.

April 16, 2007 at 6:55 pm #562716Holy crap! 😯 Not to criticise, Drag0n, but I think the tree looked better where it was before.
April 16, 2007 at 6:56 pm #562717😆 You’re witty tonight, Ski.

😆 Thanks! I have been drinking. (Im playin:)
I still cant beleive that tree! Was yours the only place with rearranged landscaping?
April 16, 2007 at 7:03 pm #562719I’m sure it wasn’t. When we called they were like “Yes, we’ve had tons of calls all night long!” They didn’t get here to get it out of the road until about noon, so I’m sure worse things must have happened. But as you can see, we were kind of trapped in our garages so we didn’t venture too far to have a look 😀

We got a ton of rain in NJ. AND I discovered that my dining room window has a leak – a ton of water went down the wall into the basement. So now I need to find someone to rip apart the wall and re-drywall it. I was really bummed about it and then read on the internet about Virginia Tech. Put it into perspective.
April 16, 2007 at 7:49 pm #562721We had rain and wind but no major trouble caused by either.
I’m glad the damage wasn’t worse, Drag0nfeathers. Looks like a decent size tree.
April 16, 2007 at 8:15 pm #562722We had something like that come down on our house a couple years ago. The hubby was outside watching the storm come in and came in to get me to show me the cloud front advancing. It’s a good thing he came in because the tree broke and fell on the house and knocked our chimney off, which landed right where he’d been standing about five seconds earlier.
The insurance covered everything, but it was a mess for a while.
April 16, 2007 at 8:26 pm #562723holy cow dragon! glad that didn’t hit your house! i got just shy of 2 inches of water in my basement! i am raisin toed and smelly from bailing it out of my basement all day!! no fun! i really hope that we don’t get any more rain tonight! oh, i caught my kitchen window too, i was in the kitchen heating up some soup.. peeked out the window while i was waiting to ooogle the rain and BOOOOOM! the window comes FLYING at me and i caught it before it hit me or the floor! holy cannolis! i have those old wood framed paneled windows so thats how it blew in, as its grooves it slid in were worn. weeeeee! fun fun!
April 16, 2007 at 8:56 pm #562724WOW, that was a close call, drag0n! Here in NJ we got hit by the storm too, but not as bad just a lot of wind rain thunder and lightning. but I swore the big dead tree outside my window was going to fall on my room last night, so I stayed awake paranoid last night until the wind died down a bit.
April 16, 2007 at 9:08 pm #562725Wow! Those are some Pictures Drag0n! I’m glad that you are safe!
April 16, 2007 at 9:15 pm #562726Wow! TF! I’m glad you didn’t get hurt!
April 16, 2007 at 9:22 pm #562727Wow, sounds like everyone had a bad time today. An unlucky day for the whole world is what it feels like. Now I feel like the tree is NOTHING compared to Virginia.
ddvm – Redrywalling? That was some leak! What a pain! My sister left her window open in her car like 3 inches so her car looks probably alot like your wall right now.
TF – I hate it when that happens!!! We have a ton of water in my mothers basement right now(where I stood to take the photos) She has over a foot of water in there still. 😯 That was a CLOSE CALL with the window! My gosh! I NEVER would have caught it! That was an intense move!
emerald – Sucky about the chimney, that would have scared the life outta me! Good thing the insurance covered it! There’s no insurance on this house so we really WERE lucky in that sense!
Lokie – Yea, a HUGE tree, here’s the other half of it still standing and it’s starting to get stormy again
