Alright so this is a two parter because they both kind of have to do with the same thing 😀
First – is anyone from the forums attending the San Diego Comic Con this year? I believe it’s in July. The reason I ask is because I really like the Comic Con MLP’s (My Little Ponies) that are currently on Ebay and are advertized as the ponies that will be at the ‘con this year. I really want one of these guys but I am iffy about buying a “preorder” pony from a third person when I could potentially get someone to grab me one when they’re there!
If anyone is going and would be willing to be on the lookout for one of these guys for me, please PM me!!
Here’s an ebay listing so that you get an idea of what they look like:
PART 2 for the MLP experts:
First, does anyone know if the above ebay listing seems like a fair price? I’m not sure about these limited edition ponies. I really like the way they look and they seem like the type of thing that will only increase in value over the years so I would be willing to pay 50 bucks for one if that’s a fair price. I’m totally new to the MLP scene so I dont know these things and kind of need someone to hold my hand XD
Second question – I just won this auction on ebay:
Woo hoo! I’m excited because I really like that color scheme, and from the other ponies that came from this “art” series, it seemed like a good price. So I guess my question is, IS that a good price, and does anyone know how long these were in production for or how rare they actually are?
Thanks in advance anyone who can help me with these things!! I’m a newbie when it comes to My Little Pony stuff XD

May 15, 2011 at 11:48 pm #845445awww! I want one too!! ^_^ Cute! I’m not going to the con, but the first SDCC pony I got was the first year they released them, and I paid someone $30 to pick one up for me…so the price is only a little inflated. If they’re offering free shipping, that’s probably why.
May 16, 2011 at 12:00 am #845449Aha! OK well good, thanks for the feedback Wolfen 🙂 I may think about getting one in that case. I’ve also noticed that the prices on older ones is actually cheaper (somewhere around $20.00) so I may wait and see as well.
Stephanie – OMG definitely, if you go keep me in mind!! I’ll absolutely reimburse you plus shipping and a great big thank you if you come across one <3

Preorders like that always seem to be around $50.00. And like everything else, the older Art ponies have been going for less (just like everything else) lately 🙂
I think the trick with all these ‘Collector’ Editions is to hold onto them for 20 years to really make any money on reselling them 😛
May 16, 2011 at 6:44 pm #845509I won’t be going to the comic con, but I think a friend of mine might be. I’ll check and see if she’d be willing to pick one up.
