You can have mine! 😡
My father just got relocated to Ohio and he had to leave my stepmom here alone on their ranch in the Rockies until the house sells. She works 8 to 5 all week so I am here until mid July to help her. You know, keep the house tidy and clean for home viewings, take care of the animals, and the like.
And today it snowed. Buckets of snow. It began to hail out of the blue, great big marble-sized hail. I was scrambling to run out and open the gate so the horses could get back in the barn from the field when it began to thunder on top of the hail. We have three huge dogs who are all afraid of thunder, so by the time I had let the horses in out of the weather the dogs had gone nuts and knocked over a table and a floor lamp in the house.
Spent the day miserably cold, then called my little brother back home in Indiana this evening and he said it got up to 90 degrees there today. Where is my summer?!? I think my stepmom’s scared I’ll bail out on her and run home, since the first thing she said after hearing my sob story was:
“You remember that big pretty dragon you liked so much at the mall last year? We’ll go tomorrow and get that for you, okay sweetie?”
She’s talking about the black-gold emp. If this comes through I promise not to complain if it snows four feet and traps me in the house!

I like snow – but only in the winter time. We’ve had summer weather and T-Shirt and shorts for the past month or so and I want it to stay that way.May 24, 2007 at 3:51 am #579950Greater Basilisk wrote:I like snow – but only in the winter time.
Exactly! Where was it at Christmas when I wanted it, I’d like to know? *taps foot* I’m like my mother, cold by nature. If I snuggle the emp, will he keep me warm? 😆

But we’re used to that crazy crap. September to May.
May 24, 2007 at 4:10 am #579952How do you stand it? I’m ready to lay out and tan myself silly by late April, at the latest.
May 24, 2007 at 4:12 am #579953blame global warming. or el nino. or la nino. or the butterflies in austrailia. 😯

May 24, 2007 at 4:19 am #579954Sorry you’re stuck in snow, but at least you get a pretty dragon out of it, right?

That’s it, it’s all the butterflies’ fault! 😆
Hmm… any butterfly around here would be very unhappy indeed. I saw a caterpillar on the way to the mailbox (1/2 mile uphill from the house) yesterday… I hope he’s not frozen solid by now.

Yes, yes indeed… These people know how to bribe! I’d most likely go on an expedition to the Yukon for the right dragon.
May 24, 2007 at 5:10 am #579958You gotta love “Spring time in the Rockies”! We just got snow here in the Springs as well. I just love how it’s 70 or 80 degrees then in the course of even a few hours it can start snowing. Unfortunately it can snow into June here, and July is the only month I haven’t seen it snow, yet.
May 24, 2007 at 6:26 am #579959Yeah…. Snow 😕
The forcast for tonight is for 10cm to 15cm (2-4 inches I think) of snow, then rain and generally cold till the weekend when it’ll get warm again. Snap is right we get crazy weather all the time. One of the mottos for the city is “Don’t like the weather, wait 5min, it will change” And its true!! I think August is the only month we’ve had no snow, though mum says that we have. 😯
Hope you get that dragon out of this Megani!!
