Thanks Emerald. I did the unpaid item dispute. 🙂
December 30, 2007 at 6:07 pm #647157Ok, a little update: She contacted me (finally) and said she was sorry, hubby in the hospital, she would pay me by instant payment via paypal on the 26th. Well, she paid me on the 26th but it was via echeck, so I have to wait a week or so for it to clear. Last time I checked, that was not instant payment. I am kinda irritated. This auction ended on the 7th, and I wont get the money till a few days from now. What kind of feedback do I leave for that? I am half tempted to refund her money and keep the griffin. 😕
December 30, 2007 at 6:12 pm #647158Eww, that sucks. I’d say neutral feedback. Maybe she didn’t realize that e checks weren’t instant payment.

With the situation I would be understanding. It’s HELL to have a loved one in the hospital over the holidays. I ended up paying by e-check since the card they had on file with paypal had expired and I did not realize it. I got it taken care of but if I was not paying attention due to a loved one in the hospital, or jsut thinking I was doing payments as business as uausl, I would hope it would not be held against me. All my payments did clear and I get everything I paid for
December 30, 2007 at 10:52 pm #647160I’ve done the same thing where my card expired and I didn’t catch it in time. So my payment was an e-check when I ment for it to be by credit card. If her husband really is in the hospital I can see how she didn’t think of paying for the ebay auction. I know ebay was the last thing on my mind when my husband was sick.
December 31, 2007 at 12:24 am #647161Im glad you have made progress with this and have not been stiffed. Too bad about the echeck but at least it’s a step in the right direction and you are going to get money. FB is a tricky one here. Id say use your best judgment. Ive left neutral feedback for someone who never, ever communicated with me and shipped horribly and took forever to ship as well (plus I paid for insurance and she didnt even insure the Windstone in the shoebox)!
She got pissed off I left her neutral FB and did the same to me in retaliation. I know it doesnt change your score but it’s annoying to know that I have every single feedback as + and only one other of neutral. I also get pissed off when ppl dont bother to leave me feedback at all when the transaction and the merchandise were of fine top quality. And no, I wont leave them feedback until they leave some for me cause why should they get the points and I dont. Thing is, were all happy with everything, so how hard is it to just say “thanks” with a +FB? Maybe it’s just me but I follow through on everything.
As for those that never paid OR communicated with me, they have not responded to their respective disputes and it’s been over a month. So EMERALD, what youre saying is that I should close those disputes and when I do I’ll reach a page that will let ebay know that I was never paid or contacted, etc?

Yep. That’s what I’m saying! You can relist your item through that too, block them from bidding on other auctions of yours, and get your selling fees back.
December 31, 2007 at 10:06 am #647163It will not be a pos. The problem im having now is that she said she was not on line much that week yet she left feedback on Ebay for others on the 8th, 10th, and 19th. The 19th is when she finally contacted me (after I left her 3 messages.) The auction ended on the 7th. I am finding the whole thing crappy. I think she just didnt want to pay before Christmas. I wanted that money for MY Christmas.
December 31, 2007 at 10:16 am #647164But you’re still selling the griffin to her?
December 31, 2007 at 10:18 am #647165I dont know. I can refuse her payment (refund it totally) and just keep or resell the griffin, or I can send it to her and leave whatever feedback I like. I am not sure which to do though I really dont want to sell it to her. 😕
December 31, 2007 at 10:19 am #647166Could she slap you with a retaliatory negative if you decide not to sell?

She can do that regardless of what I do. I am not scared of retaliation negatives, though. Most people look at negatives and see what happened. I will just say that she took too long to pay, poor communication, and lied about not being on line.
December 31, 2007 at 10:29 am #647168That’s true. Good luck on deciding what to do.
December 31, 2007 at 10:30 am #647169Thanks girl. 🙂
December 31, 2007 at 4:53 pm #647170Yeah, good luck, Ski. It’s a hard decision to make. My advice is to do what is going to sit right with you a week from now. If it’s going to bug you that you sold the griffin to her, don’t. If it’s going to bug you that you gave her negative feedback, then don’t. Keep your own peace of mind above all. You are a good person. I know you will do what is right.
Here’s a funny store… I had somebody try to guilt me into giving her something extra. She paid me late, so I filed an unpaid item claim. I got the money order right after that, so I closed the dispute, saying I got paid and that it was fine. Then, at the last minute, she changes where the shoes should be sent. I forgot to change it so I sent them to the original address. I realized it afterward and sent her a note apologizing for my mistake. She says, “I’ve not been pleased with any aspect of this transaction.” So I wrote back something to the affect of, “What OTHER part of the transaction do you have a problem with? I accepted your Best Offer. You paid me LATE. Then you change the address at the last minute and expect me to jump for you? I forgot. I apologized. What in the world ELSE could YOU be unhappy about?” She had her neighbor forward her the shoes and she gave me positive feedback. 😀
