Things really are biting here right now, my retail job is the only one in the family and it looks like i’m going to have to move and all my money is going into living right now so no savings in bank or chance to save. It looks like I’ll even have to place a couple of my dogs. 😥 I do have a safe place to send my Windstones (and have generally been forbidden to sell them by my family), but I’m floating the idea of selling my jade scratcher. He’s my most recent piece; I haven’t even ever been able to display him. He has his original box, inserts and plastic sac too, and is still in them now. Even has his original store price tag stuck on his felt. As I remember, his felt is a little dirty, he has a very faint (to me) smell of incense, and a few very small flea bites on the base- you can’t see them unless you’ve flipped him to look at the base. I’m just testing the waters here; I see no nibbles on the one on eBay right now and I would want at least $250 I think for this guy.
Pics with my emerald scratcher when I got him (emerald is NOT for sale!) Jade is on right
Pic of the base (today)
Pic of the box, inserts and sac, yep it’s marked ’emerald’ scratcher (today)

P.S. if anyone knows of someone in central FL that might be interested in one of my dogs, both small Australian shepherds, PM me, approved homes only (could go separately)
EDIT to add that I have an Enchantica dragon, ‘Windows of Wonder’, that i can sell. As I remember, it has a couple toes missing on the bottom (it’s boxed up but I can check). I do have box/COA. When I can get my camera (out of town with my husband) back, I can take pics- or will remove this if mods want me to since it’s not Windstone. It cost $100 but I can go lower with its damage. I was going to ask Kyrin if she’d fix it, but…
August 19, 2009 at 2:40 am #780355That’s such sad news, Pip, esp. about your dogs. I hope everything works out for you! Your jade is lovely….I just can’t afford him. Best of luck with everything!
August 19, 2009 at 5:34 pm #780356I hope you don’t have to place your dogs, pip, it’s never easy letting go of a pet. Good luck selling.
August 19, 2009 at 6:28 pm #780357I won’t be able to help you out with your sale, but I’m sorry to hear about your dogs. I hope things get better.
August 19, 2009 at 7:21 pm #780358Thanks for the well wishes. One of the dogs (Abby) really wants to be an only dog and isn’t so happy here anyhow, especially with all the tension and all lately. She’d be happier elsewhere where she could not have to compete and deal with stress. Beauty is happy, so it isn’t so urgent for her (yet anyhow). We’ll just have to see how the situation unfolds. I’ve already placed a few of my fish (and I’m attatched to my fish).
My husband has to place his Siberian husky he just brought down here from his son’s in Atlanta also, they couldn’t keep her any longer. Sent an email to a rescue, but they’re so backed up anymore many won’t take dogs from owners, only shelters.
Have a couple cats also, but no one wants cats, just too many out there. (Husky can’t stay here because of the cats, which has added to the problems)
After tax and shipping I paid about $165-170 for the dragon, so if I get desperate enough I will probably dicker some on it. Right this moment, I’m in a holding pattern and the money would probably be dribbled away on little bills instead of going towards a deposit or something, so I’m in no hurry.August 19, 2009 at 8:26 pm #780359Sorry hun. Wish I could help. 🙁
August 19, 2009 at 9:09 pm #780360Hey just wanted to let you know there’s many wonderful rescues that transport! All of my dogs have came from down south. Check out petfinder.com, you will probably have better luck with a husky rescue right now with the quantity of dogs needing homes then an all breed rescue, but can’t hurt to try around. Free spirit siberian rescue I believe it’s called in Illinois has a larger rescue and may be able to help you out. Castaway pet rescue in Illinois is great too (they’re all breed) and only pull from down south so may be able to help you. I believe their website is castawaypetrescue.com or .org Best of luck!
August 23, 2009 at 1:29 am #780361So far no luck on the husky, everyone is full up. None on my dog either, but that isn’t so urgent yet.
Here are a couple pics of the Dragonsite/Enchantica piece, ‘Windows of Wonder’. This wasn’t an easy piece to find! (then I ended up with 2 :P)I think it was an annual for them. This has a little damage. They were $100 new, I was hoping to start around $50, it would probably be eBayed.
August 23, 2009 at 2:01 am #780362I wish I hadn’t overspent my budget this month, I’d be ALL OVER that Scratcher. I am sorry to hear about your dogs pipsxlch 🙁

Wonder of wonders, my husky has learned to love my cats (even played midwife for my Russian blue when she had kittens) so there is some harmony. She would love a playmate her own size. Are you looking for permanate homes or temp. ones for your furbabies?
September 12, 2009 at 2:23 pm #780364I still want a Jade piece too but no extra moneis right now I have a couple I’m getting taken care of right not that I shouldn’t be doing
September 12, 2009 at 3:43 pm #780365September 12, 2009 at 6:11 pm #780366I would LOVE to take that jade scratcher off your hands, but unless you could take monthly payments (of like $75 or something like that – would take 3 months overall) then I can’t help you. 🙁
September 13, 2009 at 2:32 am #780367The scratcher has a new home! I’ll be sending it out next week. I’ll miss not ever having been able to display and enjoy it, but who knows, maybe one day it can come back. At least now it will get a chance to be properly admired and loved.
No luck with the dogs yet. My husband had been staying with his brother, who lives in one of those EVIL EVIL HOA (sorry I don’t think ANYONE has a right to tell someone else what to do with their own property, look the other way if you don’t like it MYOB and the world would be a much better place) just got kicked out because of Misty. She’s staying in a bedroom here, but that can’t be forever. She’s not a bad dog, but she goes for cats, she’s big and strong, my daughter can be an idiot around the animals and I can’t afford even a small vet bill. Hoping we don’t have to go to animal control but the rescues we’ve talked to so far won’t take an owned animal, just shelter ones. A temporary home for her would be great, we were looking for a place to move to, but it may be quite a while before we can find one since he hasn’t been able to find a job and mine is just retail right now. She is a good dog who deserves more than a bedroom though, and a new forever home would be wonderful also.
Abby i’m looking for a forever home for. She just isn’t able to be happy in a multiple dog situation. She loves cats though, and could be a therapy dog. If Beauty can find something, it will probably be a forever home, she would be GREAT for a person looking for a competition dog. -
