Great for you, Romeo. Wolfen’s came in its original box and was broken anyway, so all the best to ddvm – even though Windstone does ship things perfectly packaged.
Well, mine didn’t have packing peanuts in between the boxes, and he came USPS. Windstone puts peanuts between the boxes and ships UPS (the way all Windstones should be sent!) so he will get there fine 🙂
Mine didn’t have packing peanuts. They did it all by newspaper. And it was shipped by USPS. It took around a month to get to me. But then the boxes they used were so much bigger than the emperor. I think the outside box was a TV box. I spent days pressing out the newsprint so it could be recycled and not take up a few recycling bins.January 27, 2007 at 10:23 pm #527666I do not remember did it get to you intaked after all that??
January 27, 2007 at 10:26 pm #527667Not even a scratch.
January 27, 2007 at 10:31 pm #527668NOW that is amasing especially after all the shipping horror stories we hear about

Congrats. Im very glad you like him. How does the purple look in person?
February 6, 2007 at 4:30 pm #527672Actually he doesn’t have that much purple on him. I was a little surprised – I was expecting more. But he is magnificent so no complaints! 😀 But the poor guy was soooooo cold – we are having an “arctic blast” in NJ – he was left outside my porch in very cold, windy weather. I was afraid to touch him at first so I let him warm up slowly.
February 6, 2007 at 5:30 pm #527673I bought a Male Kirin on ebay about a month back for 97.oo USD which is a great deal in my eyes however the shipper shipped the kirin in the original box. he just slapped postage and my address on the original box and sent it off to me in Canada. I got it and was shocked the first thing I saw was the white kirin sticker on the box, I thought for sure it was a gonner but it was in mint condition when I opened it not even a scratch. I was amazed and so very lucky to get it in one piece. I was very surprised by the shipper because I had purchaed a tan griffon off of him and it was double boxed and perfectly packaged, so now I dont know what to make of the shipper, do I chance it again or not. The products both arrived to me in mint perfect condition but the last shipping experience really scared me away.

Kirin
Just let him/her know ahead of time that you would like things double boxed, I’m sure he/she will be willing, they may not have had any boxes around to fit the original Kirin box?
