I’m so glad you found the perfect place! That’s so awesome! 🙂
As for the one acre, I vote chickens! 😆

Sorry, but I hate, hate, hate packing. I had to move my parents twice last year…they didn’t have a thing packed when we got there (either time). Nope, not doing it again unless it’s for me. 🙄

May 3, 2010 at 5:28 pm #813127Cool that you found a place! 😀 Believe me, if I was close enough, I’d help ya–we’d have a good, good time! Loss of jobs, homes, moving etc can be so daunting. When I got laid off and had a hard time just finding a job, I decided to make a career change and go back to school a bit. People kept telling me that when one door closes, something else opens up. Looks like the case for you and it seems you have a better house! 😀
This caught me eye this morning–have it on my refrigerator to remind me of stuff when things start looking real hopeless and I get scared and anxious; it talks about darkness, the darkness that we are thrown into when things happen in our life that throws us off and all we want to is flee, even when we can’t see where we’re going….
It happens when everything we relied on to guide us suddenly disappears: the spiritual mentor we depended on moved away, the community we cherished is suddenly divided, our favored prayer form no longer sustains us. We feel bewildered, confused and understandably anxious to escape the uncertainly of it all.
But if we are willing to remain in the darkness, we will discover that we are not alone, that the Spirit of truth is actually guiding us into new ways of understanding. Sometimes those truths will be painful, but we can be confident that they are always given to us in a way that wills out good and will not discourage or destroy us.
This certainly spoke to me just this morning will all the things I’ve been going through. Hope it helps and is here for all to share 😀

Hah! That one of my favorite winter memories. Going sledding at an abandoned farm with my cousins that had a slope down to a creek that had sections ranging from a nice glide down to *holy crap* with rusting farm equipment in the way!
All you can do is give them the safety talk, make sure they wear helmets (If they are anything like I remember my brothers and cousins being…) and not watch
Grats on finding a place, just think of all the wildlife that will come and visit you 😉
May 4, 2010 at 4:00 am #813130AnonymousIt makes you realize what a small, small world we live on — and how could you go wrong with moving to a place named: SODA SPRINGS, how awesome is that! lol Congrats and yes, do have fun! I am jealous and want to try moving one day, myself 🙂
May 4, 2010 at 4:04 am #813131They aren’t moving to Soda Springs, but away from it.
May 4, 2010 at 4:41 am #813132Yersh… away… But if you ever get the chance to visit, you need to go on the “springs tour”. They all taste different and all are naturally carbonated. Only problem with ’em is they tend to “rust” if you leave it in the ‘fridge over night – super high mineral content 😮
