I still need to go over the green and yellow areas with interference paint, then I can pull the mask off the claws/horns so I can paint those, and finally work on the final cleanup.
Ummmm…he is starting to look like what I had in mind for my keeper. 😯
Great minds think alike? 😉 I swear I wasn’t peeking!
February 13, 2008 at 5:13 am #658156He’s finally done! I really like how he turned out despite the flaws. I used the gold interference paint this time and I love how it brings the skin to life. I’ve also been working on a technique to make the horns and claws look like bone. So far, so good on that front too, though the pics don’t show that off very well. The small one I am working on will show that off more clearly, but I am not ready to post those pics yet.

February 13, 2008 at 8:30 pm #658161The brown scales totally look like wood, as if you carved them and glued them there.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

He does remind me of wood/forresty something.
I really like him!February 14, 2008 at 7:20 am #658163I like him. The choice of colors, pattern and blending is really nice.
February 14, 2008 at 7:45 am #658164WOW Zym! I agree with everyone else…the brown scales are AWESOME! You really really did make them look like bark with the awesome blending and such! I really really like 😀
What I like even better…call me wierd LOL, but the horns! I love the idea of keeping them looking like bone….well since technically…they are 😉 😆 . How did you manage that!?!
WOW, this piece is its just overall awesome, GREAT job Zym! 😀
