Ancient Forest Dragons (finished Keeper pics on page 4).

I started painting my first PYO dragon today. Here are a few pics of my progress so far. I must say that it feels good to be painting again.

The theme for this guy I’m calling “Ancient Forest.” The belly scales and snout will be shades of green and yellow with the outer scales painted to look like tree bark.

I started with a yellow and brown base.

After that, I went over it all with dark green and followed up with light green and yellow on the belly scales, snout, and wings.

And finally I went over the outer scales with dark and light brown again.

So far he turning out like I expected. Now comes the hard part. Painting in the details with a brush. 🙂

Thanks for the encouragement! He has green eyes with a topaz jewel. Here are a couple more pictures. The “bark” isn’t turning out like I envisioned, so I need to work on that more.

That is one very tree-like dragon. It is beautiful! I admit, I looked at it without reading the first time, and it most certainly does have the appearance you want. VERY NICE!!! 😀
