I hope she does! 😥 I didn’t get one either.
June 13, 2009 at 11:51 am #768044I think the fact that the molds are so difficult is one of the things that makes me appreciate the Oriental dragons so much. They are absolutely exquisite sculpts and worth the trouble IMO…but I don’t have to cast them 😉
June 14, 2009 at 1:15 am #768045Purple is my favorite color (can’t tell at all can you? lol) and I’ve missed them all too. squeek* More Amethyst orientals!!
June 15, 2009 at 6:08 pm #768046Mmmm…I REALLY want those orientals!
June 17, 2009 at 8:41 am #768047Would it be asking to much to maybe make these available for forum members first ? Like what we were discussing for the Club ideas ?
I’ve seen several of these pieces turn up for sale later on for somtimes twice as much..so it makes me think a lot of these being bought be re-sellers.
June 17, 2009 at 3:00 pm #768048I don’t think it would be fair to offer them to forum members first; that’s what the club idea is for.
June 17, 2009 at 7:12 pm #768049Re-sellers have a right to buy them too. Just because they happened to be online when they hit the store doesn’t mean they should be barred from buying just because someone who wouldn’t resell wanted it. Windstone has already limited it to one per customer and that is something they don’t have to do.
I could complain that it’s not fair that all the ebay auctions end at 9pm for me or recently all the store pieces have been hitting so late at night. But that isn’t really realistic. Windstone is a business and we need to respect that there are some things they need to do to keep that business running.

Sun Dragon Koi #3June 18, 2009 at 6:24 am #768050Well they would be sold one way or the other..offering them up to forum members first wouldn’t be so unfair I think…just one day maybe ? If they all get sold to forum members that’s not hurting windstone at all that I can see ?
And I don’t mean barring them…how hard is it to make a membership account ? If not there could be more later after all for them to get and resell.
Personally I haven’t bought anything myself since my RF OW in Jan.. too expensive and I’m too broke…lol just trying to come with a way to help the members who love these guys so much they spend hours a day on here 😉
June 18, 2009 at 11:16 am #768051How about a reservation list? And I wouldn’t suggest it for the first or even second batches. But if a member still hasn’t snagged a precious piece after the third batch, maybe they could be put on a reservation list or something. Yeah, I know, it’s more work for the staff, but it’s a thought. Or maybe a poll to gauge interest on how many to make?
June 18, 2009 at 3:06 pm #768052The idea of reserving pieces has come up before. Windstone has stated many times that they will only sell what they have in stock. They don’t have the manpower, space, or capacity to do things like reservations or pre-orders.
