Melody, I would like to ask a question about the mother dragons. I noticed that the new copper patina color has come out on the mother dragon sculpt. Is it possible at all to paint some more amethyst mothers? They went so fast and I missed them and I’m still crying about that. Can they be done with your new fix it technique that has saved so many other dragons that would have been in the scrap heap? Thank you!! (and Happy New Year!!)

We have hardly any good mother dragon castings. We are able to cast certain pieces pretty well but the dragons are still being very difficult. We have hired a chemist to work on the issue, and we have made some headway, so HOPEFULLY this can be figured out.
We will make more amethyst dragons soon as we can. Eye painting dept is starting to work now!
( Dracco, we aren’t going to sell those amethyst coiled mothers. Turns out, on close inspection all of those castings were bad! We will be selling them as copper patina though.)

The Copper Patina dragons are made with castings that have defects, such as water marks. They look beautiful with patina on them, but are NG in fine finish.
We have good mother dragons that we are ready to paint Amethyst. We will get them painted next week.

I wouldn’t normally buy a coiled mother, but I WOULD get one in Autumn Leaf.

Any would be great!! Seriously, there aren’t any colors I’ve ever seen that I dislike and I love the coiled mom so whatever floats your boat on the day you feel like painting them 😀

Ack 😮 !!! Autumn Leaf Coiled Mommas would be lovely. But the Toasty Pearl color would be nice for that sculpt to.

Are the ones that will be painted coiled mommas or regular mommas? (or are we talking about both?)

If it’s the regular ones, I’d flip over an Autumn Leaf! (preferably with brown, not purple) Or a Toasty Pearl. The amethyst is very nice too, though it doesn’t ‘sing’ to me like the earthy colors. Actually, if it’s the coiled, I’d still flip over the Autumn Leaf or Toasty Pearl.

Melody, I think any of those choices would be adored.
