I dunno. I think lavender would blend in too much… I like for the eyes to draw on a color that you might not notice as much on the sculpture. I don’t even know if the folks at the factory make the emp’s eyes in that liver color! 🙂
YUCK!!!
January 1, 2008 at 2:35 pm #642248I think straw would be best.
January 1, 2008 at 3:33 pm #642249I actually like the blue eyes best.
I love this emp. Very very pretty.
January 1, 2008 at 7:36 pm #642250The blue eyes are nice, but I like the straw eyes better.

Which is the lavender. I really don’t like the current lavender shade of eyes because of that reason. Something more purple would be better… and apparently, they’re working on it.
January 2, 2008 at 9:31 pm #642252Liver is not Lavender. They both start with L but they are no where near eachother. Liver is more dead skin grey

Obviously they both start with L. 🙄 But the current shade of lavender has been referred to numerous times (including Melody) … as having a liver-like tint.

Yeah, but you said liver is a dead skin gray kinda color. That liver isn’t gray.
January 2, 2008 at 11:07 pm #642260It can be a grayish color if it’s sat out and oxidized for a while. My grandmother always said she make me eat it if I wasn’t good. 😯
Looking for Blue Fawn Baby Kirin

Sun Dragon Koi #3January 2, 2008 at 11:19 pm #642261Okay, I knew it was in here somewhere. I could have sworn she said something about liver color. But a murky brownish lavender is still no good. Melody is not pleased with it, and they are working on improving the color. This is per darkzorse. I’m anxious to see what they come up with!

hmm…she’ll prolly throw something at me…
I already asked her about funky eyes today….trying to get her to do an eye color experiment….LOLI voted for googley eyes.
I could experiment with eye color, maybe a mix of grey and blue or grey and lavender.. though usually the fired glass paint doesn’t mix together well. The colors tend to get muddy, and don’t turn out the color you’d expect.
The problem with our lavender eyes is that it isn’t a clear lavender, as it appears in the photoshopped silver dragon that PT kindly posted for us. Our real lavender eyes are a murky brownish lavender. I think it is sort of an interesting color, in its own weird way, but I sure wish we had a better lavender to use. -
