Checked, and I have a music box by them. Plays “All I Ask of You” from Phantom of the Opera. Mom gave it to me years ago for an exmas present.
It has gone off without cause once before as well. Sometime after my mom died. Was just laying in bed trying to sleep and it went off for about 5 seconds. I never play it (once in a rare blue moon) so it had no reason to start up.
If it helps at all, I do remember that I originally pointed the music box out to my mom, and we were at a drug store (Osco at the time, now CVS). This was eons ago though.

😀 That explains why the face looks familiar on that. It looks like Starlite, which makes sense seeing as according to that blog… “G.G. Santiago is widely respected in the world of fine collectibles. She was the creator of the popular Rainbow Brite characters during her time with Hallmark Cards…”November 23, 2010 at 10:39 pm #832004Anonymous
Thanks 🙂
March 11, 2016 at 1:51 am #943256I just bought a similiar one online today, an Amberwood collection by G G Santiago for Westland giftware. The horse is called Tristan, mine is same horse only in full regalia and is a wind up musical , the horse sits on a pedestal and plays “Wind beneath my Wings” I tried looking it up but to no avail. If you have any information that would help me also I would appreciate your sharing, Thank you!
