The artists were at the pumpkin festival today — the pieces looked even better in person! π
Did you buy anything?
They do beautiful work: -)
I think so too! I saw many pieces that I liked, but I held off for the time being because I’m planning to visit the artists’ studio this weekend. They normally don’t sell to the public, but on 3 of the weekends in October they have a studio sale where they put many pieces all over their garden and people can walk around and “pick” the ones that they like. For some pictures of that, check out the link in my first post (above).Anyway, they’re going to have many more pieces to choose from there than they were able to bring with them to the festival, so I decided to wait until this weekend to pick out the pieces that I want to get. Its going to be hard to resist grabbing a lot of them! π
October 15, 2007 at 7:01 pm #626338They’re gorgeous! I love the wheelbarrow full of pumpkins…
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

π³ π Sorry…you did mention waiting until you visited the studio…
October 15, 2007 at 8:23 pm #626340Not at all! Actually, I didn’t say that I was going to wait until I got to the studio before buying anything…and to tell the truth, I could barely stop myself from grabbing the ones that I liked right at the festival! π
October 15, 2007 at 8:31 pm #626341I can imagine Mimi…stuff like that is almost impossible for me to resist buying, too. lol Are you going to keep them out all year or just save them for fall display?
October 15, 2007 at 8:55 pm #626342If I can find 4-5 that would look good as a dining table centerpiece, I think I’ll just leave them there all year…unless I find something else irresistible later on that I also want to use as a dining table centerpiece — in which I might have to rotate! π
Right now I have this set of candlelamps on the dining table, but I think I’m going to have to find another spot for them soon! π

Those are gorgeous! I love the shape of the Calla, Arum, lily. So beautiful.

October 15, 2007 at 9:58 pm #626345That’s some great work. Kind of reminds me of a chandelier at the art museum where my parents live. The Amber Luster Chandelier was done by Dale Chihuly. Wish I could find some good pictures of it.
October 16, 2007 at 1:09 am #626346It must be hard to buy just one pumpkin. I’d want a garden like the one in the pictures. Or better yet get glass flowers, plants, humming birds, catapilers (however that’s spelled), etc. and make a full glass garden. That way you don’t have to worry about it dying off. π
I would help but I am just to tired to get out of bed today~

π The only problem is that in my garden, with all of the cats and squirrels running around, I’d probably come home one day and see big piles of glass shards all over the yard — plus I would have to take whoever’s lying there to the vet too. π
