A reference post for everyone who is open to windstone pictures and prices….
**ARTISTS**
Please post here with your examples and price ranges as well as your email or contact info. Also please use small pictures or better yet Links to photos so the whole thread is not too large.**Customers**
Please remember that no artist will copy another’s work, nor an exact windstone style. All artists are unique and deserve your love and attention! ha!January 31, 2007 at 6:58 pm #489497January 31, 2007 at 7:03 pm #534603Oh I like the idea of this thread. Will make it much easier to see who is willing to take commisions and see examples of their work.
January 31, 2007 at 7:08 pm #534604Hi! Welcome to Wippetluv Studios!
Here are some samples and price ideas! I also do restorations and custom work. All my PYOs are the same price. 100 bucks flat, but I am easy to bargain with and simple paint jobs will be less, not including shipping. That does include the windstone itself. So I will only charge 70 if you provide the sculpt.
Here are some samples…

http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d62/cornflakegirlpony/100_7245.jpgI will also do repaints and custom Windstones. They start at 100.00 and include repair work.

http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d62/cornflakegirlpony/100_7591_0001.jpgJust plain restoration starts at 25 bucks for chips and small shard resculpt, and 50 for missing peices that must be redone. I will have some before and after pics soon.
January 31, 2007 at 8:35 pm #534605This thread is an awesome idea! Thanks to Watergazer for coming up with it, and to Whippet for starting the thread!
This will be a great resource for people who are thinking about requesting commissions. And its nice to have samples of everyone’s work in one place — its neat to look at! Its really interesting to see the distinctive styles from each of the artists.
January 31, 2007 at 9:35 pm #534606Hmmm. Now I have to actually set my rates!
Gryphons – $120
Ki-rins – $100
Dragons – $110
Wolves – $100That inculdes the sculpt itself, and is the base rate, if you wanted something really time consuming, like the lava pattern, I’d charge more.
Examples of my work can be found in my gallery here, as I don’t have a gallery on my home page for them yet.
Also, just in case anybody cares, here’s my fursuit commissions info.

Dragon: $125-$150 (same as above)
Kirin: $125-$150 (same as above)
Winged Wolf: $125Right now, I have done more gryphons than anything but I’ll try my hand at any of the PYOS. I generally use Golden acrylics, though sometimes i substitute them for Venetian or Liquitex acrylics. I am not afraid to do any colours or any combination of colours because I adore colour LOL I adore iridescent things as well 😉 I usually take at least 10 hours to finish a paint job, more depending on the amount of colours or little details to do 😀

February 2, 2007 at 4:52 pm #534614It would be ideal if we request that this post be turned into a sticky. That way it won’t get lost in the many other postings.
February 3, 2007 at 2:24 am #534615lacking that, we could always resurface the post by replying… I wonder though, if you edit a post you already made in a thread, does the thread resurface as well? That way we could avoid having extra posts in this thread that aren’t related to the original idea 😀
