Any opinions?Well, I don’t know about the price, I don’t collect those. But he does have a good feedback rating. I would pay by Paypal and use a credit card. Just because it is done or not done on Ebay is no guarantee of safety. Good luck regardless of your decision!
240 is a little steep for the sitting spec I think. Maybe 200, but not 240. Just my opinion though. I just think the Riser is SO much nicer.

Paypal though…Hmmm, that’s strange. I think Paypal takes lots of different types of currency. I see tons of UK & Canada auctions all the time and Paypal automatically should adjust the payment internally…or so I thought anyway. I’ve bough a few things from Austraila before and Paypal paid them just fine, though I was the one sending, not accepting. I would assume it is the same though???

I haven’t answered yet. as for PayPal, when I was paying Cheryl for the Riser, I accidentally sent her Swiss franks instead of USD. She was asked to confirm or deny, but she could have gotten payment that way. (Of course she denied and got the full amount in dollars.) But I don’t see how you can not accept a USD payment, even if it does come from Switzerland. I have more than a dozen currencies to choose from, paying from here. I think people in the States would too.
Anyway, I’m not too sure I’ll take him up on that offer.Eh, you could probably find one cheaper. Theres one on ebay I am watching now, but I’m not going to be able to afford to bid on it. It ends ina day or 2 and is one a little over 100 right now. The seller is really nice too.

I’ve sent paypal to people in the UK, France, Spain and Canada MULTIPLE times before, its never posed a problem. I’d agree, $240 is waaay too much for the sitting spectral.

I think $240 is too much. I also think thats why he contacted you outside Ebay. Paypal does charge a conversion rate…either paypal or your bank. I remember cuz I accepted Loonies once. As for having so many, he probably just bought up multiples right as they retired and is just making a little (BIG) profit. You are always covered through Paypal if something goes wrong.
Found this out yesterday- In the set up of your Paypal account it DOES have an option to say “always deny payments made in currencies other than USD”. Or it also has a “set up balance for new currency” option. Thing is- when you sent me the francs, after money changing your money ended up being $248 in USD. That is an ATROCIOUSLY high rate to change money!
