Whenever you feel pressured into doing something you don’t want to do, just because you are the only one around who can do it, just take a moment to imagine whether or not the world would end for those people if you died in your sleep tonight.

If the answer is “No” then you should have no qualms about putting in your notice if you have been given the go-ahead for a new job. If the answer is “Yes”, then clearly you need to get as far away from that desperately screwed up place as possible. These people are (I assume) not your immediate family. Only one’s own, young, kids get to pull the “We can’t do without you” routine.

The only question I have is how come this post is not “Greetings from my new job???”
They treated you like CRAP and deverve everything they get in return.
I have had those jobs (have one now actually) and it is amazing how much stress is lifted when you leave.
If they treated you right you would not want to leave in the first place right??
It’s the employers responsibility to decide how to handle it after you leave, they might even offer you a raise.
If they people you LIKE are real friend material you will stay friends if not it was not ment to be

😆 I don’t have the job yet. But, you are all right. I haven’t been happy there in a long time. It used to be a great job… I don’t know what happened. But, I was thinking it over and if my best reason for staying is, they can’t replace me right now…. I think that’s awful, I’m staying out of pity??

I’m going for the job, if I get it great. I’ll give my notice and run. (Hey they owe me two weeks vacation at least) If I don’t then I’ll apply at a bank or elsewhere. I know I can easily get into a bank.

So, since my resume is about 10 years old, I guess it’s time for a new one. 😆 I hate writing resumes.

Yay! I’m glad you’re moving on; even if you don’t get this job at least it was your eye-opener that you needed a new job.
Ooohh.. go for the red gold SK! It’s my favorite! Or wait… um, go for any other SK, yeah…

Go for it! You have a responsibility to yourself also…to keep yourself in good physical and mental health. Your current job is jeopardizing both. Run, don’t walk, to the nearest exit.
