They are getting so BIG, I had to rename the thread 🙂 And between liquid and hard food, they probably eat more each day than Michael Phelps! 😮 I’ll have to work on an outdoor (or in my shed) enclosure soon for them before release.

Anyways, tonight’s photos. I have others that I like so much better, but they aren’t in focus. 🙄 😆

      Basil. This guy is hyper:

      Darin, whose a little less…hyper 😆 :

Those guys are TOO cute! 😀 My friend hand-raised a baby squirrel once. They tried to release him back to the wild but he would just come back to the porch and crouch there all day and night. So they took him back in and he officially became a house squirrel, haha. Looks like yours are doing really well!

I would LOVE to have one as a pet if it was hand fed and domesticated like there
Will they be abel to survive on their own after all this human contact?

I sure hope so. It is a major concern. Besides when I first brought them home, I haven’t handled them at all. As you can see in the photos, I feed them through the cage door so they get as little human contact as possible. Basil is daring, though, and will jump on me to bypass the syringe and go strait for the cup of formula. Darin is distrustful/fearful of me. Hopefully when they are off formula, neither will want anything to do with me or humans at all. But even if, learning to fend for themselves by finding their own food, water, and learning the social structure does worry me since they don’t have mama squirrel guidance.
