Super adorable, I used to rescue wildlife and the squirrels were my favorites to raise. They are sooo adorable and smart!
Unfortunately, my little sister won’t be raising them 🙁 This weekend she will be dropping them off at a Wildlife Sanctuary, which would have happened already but it’s an hour away. Until then, we just have to be overwhelmed with their cuteness!

Well….you can travel to New England and baby-sit them! 😀 Oh, you can take over my morning shift; let me sleep in for a couple hours 😉
He he, but you are right, they need to be fed every couple hours. We can only accomplish this by my little sister and I tag-teaming; I have morning/afternoon feeding shifts while she has late afternoon/night shifts because she’s in school all day but my classes don’t start till late afternoon or evening.

My mother’s coworker found them abandoned in her backyard. She didn’t have a car so she couldn’t take them to the wildlife center. She remembered one of my mother’s daughters (my little sister) use to intern there, so she brought them into work hoping my mother would persuade my little sister to take them. Which, of course, who could possible turn away baby squirrels!

No problem. I’ll try to get some more pictures of them, but it’s difficult to photograph them while I’m feeding them, and at night, I’m nervous the flash would be detrimental to their eyesight.

Hmm, that is a very interesting observation. I never thought about it. A couple years ago, my little sister took care of some newborn squirrels; I should dig up the photos of them and see how long their fingernails were right after they are birthed.

If I were closer to you I’d definitely volunteer to squirrel sit. 😀

I agree! I love watching my backyard squirrels. They’re really funny sometimes and always irresistibly cute. 😀
My little sister got home early enough so we snapped a few pictures before it got dark. Both of these pictures are of the spunky male. Even though all the squirrels are from the same “litter”?, one is developing a little faster than the others.
He is capable of eating solids. Here he is enjoying a raisin. It takes him a LONG time to eat it since he can only take really small nibbles.
