Well, things are going to get worse. Today, my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. He’s 63, and he’s been having memory problems for the past few years, so he’s rather young…

Oh, that sucks. 🙁 My family dealt with Alzheimer’s with my grandfather. It’s heartbreaking. You and your family have our sympathy!

Sorry DM, having just watched what my father went through with ALS, I can only send you hugs and say treasure all the time you can spend with him, its going to hard, and you are going to need to vent, just know that we are here for you!

Thanks, everyone.

He doesn’t know yet; my mom doesn’t see the need to stress him about it. I think once the meds have kicked in (3 months), then she might broach the subject. We’ll be going there this weekend and we’ll see how my mom’s coping.
