but some people think that way some time. I hope I NEVER get to that point. Some just want to know their name was in history even if they where not here to see it or read about it

Yes, Ski it could of been a lot worse. Good thing someone didn’t bomb the place…that would of been definately worse.

This is perhaps an overly religious viewpoint, but while I don’t hold much stock in ghosts, I do believe in demons.

I can’t help but wonder if there’s some possession going on there. I find it hard to believe that human nature can be that evil on it’s own.

I believe in demons, but I think humans are pretty capable of being wicked on their own. Of course you can blame it on the Devil…

Yes, there is that whole free will thing we have going too. The blame is still on people, since they’re quite free to make that choice. It’s the nature of the beast that they’re not really forced to do anything either way, it’s a decision making process.

Which is not to say possession doesn’t exist. It did in the Old Testament, why not now? But I think the Devil has devised more cunning ways for our modern times, and I bet the decision-making option has saved him a lot of work.
But that’s all beyond sight and science, so I’d better drop it. 🙂

I’m willing to bet that you’re probably right, but I suppose a little flare once in a while helps the recruiting business via copy cats, so to speak.

But yes, you’re right, touchy subject, moving on!

Well there has been 3 cases (including the one that just happened) since 1999 and they all have been refuguies (sp?) from different countries. So I am thinking that maybe they had a hard life and they just snapped.

Perhaps in their case, but what about the kids that perpetrated the school shootings? For some of them, their home lives weren’t exactly hard (although supervision in some cases was lacking) and there have been countless others bullied in school who just deal with it to the best of their ability and then move on to become the next Steve Jobs or Bill Gates and laugh in people’s faces.

Make of it what you will, I reckon, everybody’s got a theory, and the ones that survive afterward probably wouldn’t be able to give you a satisfactory reason for their behavior anyway. Or rather, it’d be reasonable to them, but it’d just make us blink.

For the kids that did the school shootings, I think they snapped because of the kids teasing them and they didn’t know how to release their feelings (maybe because of the parents). Not all people know how to deal with their feelings because they weren’t taught how to.

I’m not sure I agree with that entirely, but perhaps.

                #538939

Well that is ok if you don’t agree. I know people are different and they believe they have different beliefs. I still like them anyway. 🙂

I think it has a lot to do with psyche – what’s happened to them and how they deal with stress and pressure.

There was a man in my area that killed a bunch of hunters last year(or two?). He was caught trespassing on private property while he was hunting and the group of hunters gave him a lot of trouble (he was alone). He ended up killing 6 out of 8 of them and injuring the other two. He was Hmong. The surviving hunters swore that race had nothing to do with it, but I bet it did. And he just snapped. He is in jail for the rest of his life now. And six people are dead.

Since then another Hmong hunter was beat to death by a group of white hunters in the same region. They insist it wasn’t race related too, but I bet it was a type of revenge for the other incident.

It’s hard to imagine things going this wrong in people’s brains, but apparantly it happens.
