Tonight someone went to one of our malls and started shooting anyone he could find. There were 5 deaths, 6 including the shooter and I don’t know how many other people were hurt. They blocked off the whole area and people weren’t allowed to get in their cars and wont be able to get them until tomorrow because it is part of the crime scene. Why, why would someone want to hurt all of those people? They called it a state emergency. At least Red Cross was standing by and they had buses for people to stay warm.
This reminds me of something that happened where I use to live:
This guy was dating another man’s ex-wife. The ex-husband started a fight with the other guy and pulled out a gun and shot him. It happened a couple of hours before I was suppose to leave for work and I couldn’t go to work because my truck was in the same apartment parking lot as the shooting. Luckly, the man didn’t die and found some help. But, I was kind of happy that I didn’t have to go to work…but I felt really sad for the victim.

February 13, 2007 at 9:34 am #538916Im very sorry to hear that. I really wonder what is going through peoples minds when they decide to do something like this. Hurting innocent people… I just cant see the reasoning. They are not the ones who hurt you, WHY would someone take their anger out on them???
February 13, 2007 at 10:42 am #538917I dont understand that either, it is so sad to hear about these things.
February 13, 2007 at 10:50 am #538918OMG thats awfull, im glad i never hear of those things over here 🙁
February 13, 2007 at 11:58 am #538919Whoa – that’s one of the shootings they reported on the radio this morning! I’m glad you weren’t involved or injured, dragoness, but I feel sorry for the other people.
February 13, 2007 at 12:57 pm #538920Ah, so horrible to hear of innocent lives lost. I’m glad you weren’t there at the time.
It is something I can never understand.February 13, 2007 at 5:12 pm #538921Oy…..I just can’t touch this one…..
February 13, 2007 at 8:42 pm #538922Yes, I wasn’t there and so far no one I know was there. I remember when I was driving home last night I saw all of these lights flying by on the freeway going the other way. Come to find out they were policemen that lived out my way (30 mins away). According to my friend the whole block still had the crime scene tape on there this morning.
I just can’t see the reasoning either, unless the shooter was hurting really bad and this is the only way he thought of (to go down in a blaze of glory…so to speak).
Even tho I don’t know these people…it still makes me very upset (maybe because also it is in the same state and not very far a way). Those people didn’t have to die.
February 13, 2007 at 10:17 pm #538923That was just on the news here in MA.

February 14, 2007 at 10:07 am #538925I watched a bit more on this this morning. All I can say is that I am very glad that cop took him out when he did. The kid apparently had a back pack full of ammo. The damage could have been sooo much worse had the cop not been there.
February 14, 2007 at 5:20 pm #538926I wonder if people just snap or if they are just looking for their 5 minutes of fame??
February 14, 2007 at 5:23 pm #5389275 min of fame does no good when you are dead 😕
