So I have this weird ebay case.
I sold an item and the buyer payed with paypal. Because it was marked 1 day handling, ebay made me send it out the next day. Well, two days after it shipped, a note popped up on the transaction in Paypal, saying it was canceled.
I figured it was a glitch, because I had just sold 15 items through ebay, and ebay was having paypal hold all the funds since I dont have much of a selling history on ebay yet. Well I went in today to see all of my funds have been released, accept that one item which was canceled through paypal, not ebay.
I tried to open an unpaid item case on ebay, but since Ebay had automatically marked it as paid when they did Buy-it-Now, it wont let me, saying it has records of the payment. I’m gonna contact ebay with the screen shot proving otherwise, but what the heck, where is my money? Has anybody else had this?
It’s super sketchy and just messed up! We both already left feed back for each other, but they ended up getting that for free and I am out both the item and payment. Not my day today, I tell ya!
I’m really confused. Between receiving a collections letter for bill I already paid, being really sick (again), and everything going wrong today that could, I feel very lost and just wanna hide in a hole.

I know the only time I have seen something cancelled on paypal is when I have requested money for something and if the person sent the money on their own, they just cancelled the request. As far as I know if someone pays you and it goes through as an instant payment, I don’t think they can cancel it on their end unless they ask for a refund which you would have to approve. The only way a transaction could be cancelled is if you agree to it or if the buyer pays and then maybe their payment goes NSF. If it does go NSF though, then paypal has to cover it on your end and get the money back from the buyer as you are protected by paypal seller protection. So you are supposed to receive the money no matter what and paypal has to deal with the buyer if they tried to scam you. I would definitely call paypal with the proof it was sold and shipped from ebay and tell them you did not receive the money so they make sure you get it.
