Meet Lucy – she and Barden agreed to a photo session. Lucy has a touch of that green interference paint on her feather tips and square cut natural rubies; I really like how they look and they sparkle beautifully in the light. I didn’t want anything distracting from their beaks, for this session! They were a bit inquisitive about the strange looking rock (the rock thought the same about them)!
Kalandra painted both of these cuties for me, and I absolutely love them both!!!
Those are cute but I still think they are a bit….odd. 😛

lol you make me laugh!Kal: I put so many different color stones into those spots, and then tried the square gems and really liked the look. Tried amethyst teardrops but they didn’t fit. She will hold onto an amethyst in her beak in memory of mom 🙂 Still working on that!

I’m finished with ‘dressing’ them. Lucy was the last commission that Kalandra did for me, in memory of my mom who passed last October. Mom’s birthstone is Amethyst, so these two Musies are holding onto one of her stone necklaces.
I love them both and thank Kalandra for creating them exactly how I envisioned them – a colaboration effort between the two of us. Thank You Kal!
