Glad you got it all worked out.
Finance is notorious for messing up our pay. They will take out anything you owe them in about 5 seconds, but if they owe you?? It takes months of paperwork… paperwork that the finance section usually loses or messes up. π I have been lucky. Not too many pay problems for me.

Eeek…I would be very upset with that kind of paycheck after 2 weeks.
They need to pay you more, Jenn.

That was when I worked retail. π That’s not Windstone.
My current paychecks… well, they obviously vary with the good and bad times on eBay. π
I knew that wasn’t Windstone…but a regular day job should pay better than $6 an hour.
I am overqualified for just about anything out there, which makes it hard to find a job, but I got lucky with the company I am at, I am hoping to break into the research dept someday. My BS degree would actually be useful in that dept, but there are no current openings. It’s ironic, the more education you have, the less chances anyone will hire you, because they figure you won’t stay once something in your field shows up. It’s true, but one still needs a job in the interim.
Meanwhile though, I like the job I do and the people I work with, so I can wait for an opening for a long time. Since I know once I change depts, I am really going to miss my current dept crew, a lot, so I’m not in a hurry.
Anyway, I am glad you are doing better working from home for Windstone doing something you love. I’d love to be able to do that.

Despite my experience and education I’ve only ever been able to make minimum wage as an employee. When I lived in TX a few years back minimum wage was $5.50 and that’s what I made all 5 years I was there. I only got a raise when the min wage went up to $5.75. Those were rough times. I ate crackers with mustard on them a lot as a meal.
At least with my current job I am doing something related to art! That in of itself is very rare these days. π
