I’ve chosen not to post as often under this thread but rather group my paint jobs at once for posting, to save more space for all your other folks wanting to share your paint jobs.Oh WOW Water… I REALLY love the White Ki-Rin with bronze scales! 😀 Might have to hit you up for something similar for our Ki-Rin exchange… but maybe on a dragon? Or on the Ki-Rin but with maybe light brown fur… (Very light… still kinda whitish too… I dunno!) I just LOVe the look of those bronze scales! NICE!!! ^.^
I definately adore the color scheme for those so you will be seeing that again on future pieces. It came out wonderfully. Light brown mane would work well too…a nice fint of creamy tan or something. It’s amazing in person…I do have to say it’s one of my best and I personally love how it came out. And I had been afraid to try white hair too.
The dragon was one of my most difficult ones. I choose to use Appel Barrel paints because they alone had the ideal colors I wanted…I also used a couple other brands too but the deep purple was Appel Barrel. Let me tell you, THAT brand of paint in now my nemesis, although they do have great colors. They don’t blend as well and you have to really work at it to get it to look good and solid. They are just as bad as using metallic paints, lol. But again, I have to say the extra efort is always worth it.
Very nice! I do think the purple in the second kirin is a bit stark compared to the rest of him, if I may make a suggestion, if you added a wee bit of pink to the roots area of his fur it might help the transition from pink to purple. Unless you want it to pop like that, then by all means ignore me! LOL
Wow, the amethys ones are….bright! Very nice, hope they auction well! Although all yours are going well these days! 😉
