February 27, 2016 at 8:58 pm #942795Mine came in today. She is adorable, but like the others it is very hard to tell exactly what color she is. On the bookshelf she looks to be maroon on the top half and purple on the bottom half.

March 5, 2016 at 2:31 pm #943048For background – a non-color shift armadillo from the 2009 group. 🙂
From his COA: “This armadillo is one of the original leftover castings of our first line of animals that we produced in 1984 when we started Windstone. … Like the other animals in this old line, they are whimsical and not meant to be accurate representations of any species in particular. Nine banded Armadillos cannot really curl up like this, I just thought it looked cute. Now I feel guilty for perpetuating a myth.”So, Nine Banded Armadillos can’t curl into a ball, but Southern Three-Banded ones can:

March 12, 2016 at 2:57 am #943291The weather finally decided to cooperate enough to let me get pictures of my armadillo. The day was very cloudy, but at least the snow is now gone.
The outside light picked up some red in him, but I can barely see it under my inside lighting; I thought he was an almost solid bronze color.
I was hoping for a brighter color (a much brighter color), so feel free to PM me if you prefer this more natural color.
