I saw your try just now Dragoness; sorry you didn’t win this, but I’ll PM you…

I do want to see what the winning bidder says and does though. With a name like that and a location of Japan, and rating of 6 (even though all positive) it has me slightly worrisome.

I am kinda sorry to see fellow forum members duking it out. I am pleased because I make a living doing my art, and this got a decent hourly rate…but you know we’re all friends here. Hard to not feel the rift between friendships and business though.

Sweet, so I might have a second chance maybe. Yeah, I saw the name, but I didn’t check out where they were from.

BTW, I do like the spirit one, but I love the Autumn one.

Congrats on the good selling price, Water. I hope you actually get your money and the seller doesn’t cause any problems.

No worries there…dragonness is all ready to take the wolf if the other buyer flakes out… 😀

    #522328

I saw that. But I was more thinking of a potential hassle across the ocean if the wolf gets damaged or the buyer gets fussy over something. You never know…

    #522329

Good point. I hope nothing like that happens.

I can tell you its an awful nuisance – and I only could have disputed, but didn’t. 😕

    #522331

Oh yuck…you mean something you bought got broken during shipping?

    #522332

Just the old sitting Spectral story. I was trying not to bring it up again. 😉

    #522333

    Ah, yes…I remember now…

Yes, I would in a heart beat.

The shpping cost is so expensive to Japan it’s like half of what the auction went for, so we’ll see what the buyer says. Sometimes shipping expenses alone cause a backing out, which is yet again why I say ask about shipping prior to bidding, so people don’t get into arguments, especially me. We’ll see though. I should find out today or tomorrow since I sent out the invoice, but the bidder is trying for the dragon too and may not respond until I re-invoice him/her if he wins that one too.

Holy butterscotch. *Rubs hands together* Come here my little pretty. 😆

Yeah, sometimes I wait to send the money if I am trying for more than one item from a seller. But I always ask if that is ok. It kind of lets them know that I will be paying them but I want to wait until the other item ends.

I likewise felt bad about the shipping price for the one Kestrel Griffin I did. That was my highest commissioned auction griffin that went for $250. The shipping was to Germany and it cost $80, which was a huge OUCH for the bidder. I hate telling people how much shipping outside the US costs because it’s just…so crazy! I was asked by the shippers to not package it so well to help reduce the cost but there was no way I was going to do that! I put it in the original Windstone box with bubble wrap and then into another box with packing peanuts. It did get to the owner in one piece and I really appreciate the bidder willing to pay the full shipping, though I offered to split the fee.

Wow, $80 for shipping is crazy and I can’t beleive that they wanted you to not to package it that well. And that was nice of you to offer to split shipping costs. I know a lot of people wouldn’t want to split it.
