I’m always coming across people who are treated so unfairly by the companies they work for. What ever happened to hard work pays off? What I’m noticing that it seems that the f**k ups make out like bandits. I mean they kiss the asses that shit on them and kick the ones that are truly worth their weight in gold! 😡 But what goes around, comes around and pay back is definitely a BIG B! And people wonder why I coup an attitude! I do see the younger up coming workers really not giving a damn and who could blame them? They see what happens to ‘dedicated’ people so why should they bust their ass and get the same treatment. I look forward to the day I retire, when I back out of that driveway and drive down the street. I’ll wave my last good-bye with just one finger! 😛 :bye: 👿

Drag0n, that is truly the short end of the stick! I’m sorry you’re being treated this way, but as others have said, companies do it because they can get away with it. If you complain to a higher-up you could be marked as troublesome; coupled with your boyfriend being fired, that won’t look good on you. Be careful if you do complain there. Nowadays, more people are looking for jobs than ever; companies know that if an employee walks out on them because they think (or rather, know) they’re being treated unfairly, that there will be 20 more people ready to take that job. I know it’s hard to swallow, but please vent to us anytime. Are you looking for another job?

XDIt’s sad that companies are so stingy about paying people who actually work and try to do a good job, while at the same time rewarding lazy bums. There’s no discretion.

Well, I’ve been WANTING to look for a new job, but it’s hard when I’m working 2 of them at a combined total of about 60 hours a week… just to have a moment of free time to look is difficult and also, to find another job that will work around the hours of the other because I would have to get a pretty awesome pay to be able to quite them both. *sigh*
I’m going to try and fight it by calling Human Resources… but I don’t know if that will do anything except cause trouble for me.
I’m taking small fursuitting commissions now and I’m hoping once I get the hang of that I can do that full time. I have a few aquaintances that make a really good living from it once you get really good at it. I can work from home! Make my own hours! AND best part of all! Stay in my jammies ALL DAY with the animals! *dreams* I feel bad, I’m hardly ever home anymore. All my pets love Shaun now and act like they don’t care about me anymore. 😥 If they only knew they would be STARVING right now if it wasn’t for me! Bah!
Part of me feels bad for being in a constant state of crabbiness… but I’m starting to resent Shaun a lot lately.

Coupled with Shaun having been fired from there, causing too many waves wouldn’t be a good idea. As Purpledragonclaw said, companies know they can find someone else fairly quickly if they wanted to get rid of someone, especially in a retail environment. You NEED this job, at least for now. I thought Shaun had just found a job? What happened with that (you can always PM me). Hang in there! *HUGS*
Actually, since someone mentioned it about only idiots getting promoted, it is not as rare as you’d think, but if someone wants to get rid of an employee they can’t stand, they give them a really good recommendation so they get promoted out of that job and into another one in a different area. Seriously. Can’t fire them, so you promote them out of your hair. Not ethical or fair, but it does happen.
