I still have stuff for sale to fund the convention I am going to in April in the 1st post. I have my hotel and such covered, I’m just looking for food and spending money really.
But anyway, since a few people were interested here are some photos of my Kyuubi construction and progress and such (which is the costume I am making to wear at the con) I figured I’d have fun and post some photos for everyone. The character I am doing this year is Kyuubi, which is the 9 tailed fox demon from the anime Naruto. (The same series I my Gaara PYO Keeper dragon was based on, but a different character. Here’s what I’ve done so far and how I made everything. (just for those who were interested anyway) I got my router FINALLY so I’m all excited I can upload lots of pictures again! 😆
So here is the beginning, I made the feet paws out of an old pair of comfortable sneakers and upholstery foam.
Then I furred them
I also shaved between the toes and stuff to make them more defined
Next I made the hand paws, shaved the fingers down a bit as well
Just need to add the claws to all this stuff and they will be done.
The body suit was easy, but I’m trying to make digitigrade legs so they look more animalistic. So I got some comfy jogging pants and sewed some padding to the legs for the effect I wanted
(yup, my legs and my super cozy socks! LOL)Now I’ve been sewing the fur to the legs. I have one done, but I have to fix a few of the saggy spots still
and now I’m working on tails today
5 are done
still working on the 4 that will go above these, they will have a curl so you can see the 5 underneath
So that’s it so far, when I get it all together it will be more impressive. Oh! and here is the progress on the head!

Ouchies, my fingers hurt, but now I have all the tails done and now I’m sewing them all together. 🙂
They are ALOT bigger then I thought they would be stuffed. I have to figure out something to hold them onto me. I got one of those back braces from work and I think I might have to sew them to that and wear it under the costume. *nods* :yes:It’s hard to see, but there are 5 straight ones and the 4 curled ones on top that will hang between the 5 straight tails

My Naruto (I have a Sasuke coming eventually too) BJD heads are just going out to be done soon, otherwise he’d be awesome to have… have him go up against Kyuubi! That would be an awesome picture! You are so getting glomped btw!

OMG! I know! I just finished the tails and OH MY FREAKING GAWD! They are heavy as hell! I think I’m going to have to go with that suspender thing we talked about or I’m going to rupture my stomach!
Tight knots and woven belts around tummy + sweating bullets in 120 degree costume + being glomped my crazy fan firls = :puke: within 15 minutes
