I love the color buckshin and the dun colors on horses! And I love paints!!! 🙂
I tend to prefer the dun coloration, because some of the real duns I’ve seen are almost the color of a bay, but the mane and tails aren’t jet black, so they blend with the body color better. In a production, the trickiest thing to do is have sharp color changes. It looks crappy unless you can take time to finesse the color’s edges. Paints have the same paint edge problem, that is why I’m thinking a lighter buckskin-tan spot color would look best.
I want to be sure that my horses are real horse colors. There are too many horse experts out there that will catch any errors!
