I can’t imagine that Kade WANTS to become king if something happens to Serence (assuming that Kade is next in line), so why is he so dismissive of the ground rules that Serence has laid down? Serence has more experience in the wilderness than Kade does.
Isn’t Serence more vulnerable if he is worried about Kade? Granted Serence can be overbearing, and probably is overly cautious and apprehensive about what Kade will do, but there must be some real danger in the wilderness.
Nah, Kade sincerely wants to help Serence. He has not the least interest in power, and probably hasn’t even considered it, since he is third or forth in line.
Kade isn’t easy to control only because he is oblivious to rules, not because he is intentionally a trouble maker. He drives Serence crazy and in turn, Serence drives Kade crazy. Typical brothers.
Kade has also lead a very safe, pampered life and has no idea what real danger is. This is a difference between real experience and book-lernin’.
I couldn’t fit this part in, but that is why Kade was serving detention at the beginning of the story, even though he has many higher degrees. Lark just decided to give Kade detention for the rest of his life, rather than try to keep track of all the rules he had broken. His graduation present to Kade was that he gets out of detention now.
Kade has vowed to obey the rules, and he will. Yes, seems like Serence is now in a weaker position with this loose cannon, but for some reason Ayonah saw fit to do this to him. Must be some reason…
I love the little beasties in the corners that are just giant eyeballs and little legs. Both because they’re cute, and because they’re exactly what everyone who has ever endured a lecture just knew were lurking about: “I’m being watched! Someone is listening in on this and STARING at me! This is so embarrassing!” 😛
Wull, confess: I spotted them first in the Reptangle block on the home page, which shows that corner magnified. But they were so dang cute I had to find them in the page itself! 🙂
If something dire happens to Serence, who is next in line to be king?
guess
Actually, that isn’t a fair. There are two more siblings that aren’t included in this story, to keep it simple.
Wow, did I actually spell everything right this time??
According to the dictionary both “Alright” and “All right” are correct, so I think you did! 🙂

They turned out so small, I thought nobody would see those! Those are Scatterbats.
