Looked, couldn’t find this info anywhere so I figured I’d ask here..

Do paint-your-own pieces ever become production? I’d much rather have a production piece (personal preference) but if these are never going to be made, I’ll stop waiting and start looking into commissions… If the plan is to eventually sell them painted, though, I’ll happily wait. (It’s the foo puppy, phoenix, and muse that I’m most wanting to see produced, btw…)

I think the PYOs are never to be painted for production, but I think I remember a few PYO sculpts painted for ebay a while back but that’s very rare, and frankly I may be mis-remembering lol.

But yeah, there are lots of amazing PYO painters here on the forums to look into for commissions!

No, PYO pieces and production pieces do not overlap. Windstone has been quite clear that PYO pieces will only be sold unpainted.

Melody does do test paints when a new PYO is created. Sometimes one or two of those will be sold on ebay (like the Palomino hippocampus last December). However, those are rare and expensive.

Many of the Forum painters do wonderful work on commissions. As long as you are clear about what you want, you won’t be disappointed!

With the exception of an occasional ebay, or Etsy piece, (and the small batch of painted Sushi cats I did), we don’t sell the pyos painted.
The point is to let other artists make some money on their spectacular work!
