Right now (we hope to fix the problems) our shopping cart works best if you are logged into your store account before you place anything into your shopping account. If you are not logged in, items tend to jump out of your cart when you log in at check out, or it doesn’t want to let you put more than one kind of item into your cart. We are going to keep working on fixing it and do some experimenting with disabling the ability for someone to check out as a guest to see if that helps.
Things to keep in mind:
If you haven’t already done so, go to the store and log in to test your forum password – if it doesn’t work there, you’ll need to do the “forgot password” thing and change the password for the store. (Then you will have two passwords, one for the store and one for the forum)
Once logged into the store, look at your billing and shipping addresses (in My Account, below the list of past orders) and make sure they are correct. They can be changed by pressing the little word “edit” to the right of each, entering correct information, and pressing save.
When you want to order something, log into the store before you place items in your shopping cart.
Review what you have in your cart!

March 16, 2016 at 8:29 pm #943375Do you know whether we can be permanently logged into the store (stay logged in even when the computer is turned off)? It is not my preferred option, but might be the best thing to do at the moment.
March 16, 2016 at 9:05 pm #943377Yes, I think so, I have it on all day and am gone from it for hours at a time and don’t time out.
March 16, 2016 at 10:22 pm #943380I’ve closed my browser without clicking ‘Sign off’ from the store and also logged off my computer (but not shutting it down), and when I go back in the browser and store site, the item I had in my cart is still there waiting for me to complete the sale. So it appears that I’ve stayed logged on to my account.
How do you know if you do need to login again? The ‘login’ copy stays there, unlike the old site where instead of ‘Login’ you see ‘MY Account’ indicating that you are indeed logged in. This is confusing.

So things in the cart don’t time out now? I hope that can be changed.
The only way I know to tell whether you are signed in is to click on “My Account” and see if you get a list of your orders or if you get the sign in screen. I’m sure that’s on the list of things to be fixed!

Yep – I logged in on my home computer (the log in / not logged out instance above is on my work computer) and my item is still showing in my cart, so it appears that it doesn’t seem to go away/time out and drop out of the store cart like they used to. I guess this could become a BIG problem with Grab Bags – if you snag one and hold it in your cart you could potentially hold onto it for days… I’ve had this little dragon in my cart for about a week now.
I guess the next question would be if this is going to mess up the counts with the stocked items. Does an item in my cart still ‘count’ within the store’s accounting? i.e. = if my item is one of 6 pieces in stock and the counts don’t note low stock until only 5 are left, would my item on hold in my cart drop the store count to 5 and make it flag as ‘5 left in stock’?

*** Come visit me on deviantArt at http://ela-hara.deviantart.comMarch 17, 2016 at 1:55 am #943384There is a cart timer, its set at 45 minutes. An item in your cart is held for you for 45 minutes.
After 45 minutes in your cart without being checked out, your order is cancelled, however it appears that unless you remove the item from your cart, it still shows up there after the 45 minutes, just in case you still want it later on, and its still available. If its not available to you (if its being held in another cart for 45 minutes or already sold), when you press the check out button you will get a message at the top of the screen telling you why you cannot finish placing your order. If all of an item are held in carts – the in stock amount shows the amount not sold – they don’t get deducted from the number that you can see – so that may be confusing until we get that squared away.
We’ll just have to find out exactly what happens when the last one of a small grab bag is in stock! This will be fun.

Now we just need that small GB to come out to test it all out! Release the beasts, let the games begin! hehe.

Not currently open for PYO commissions.March 17, 2016 at 7:57 pm #943396Another thing I want everyone to make a habit of, is Viewing the contents of your shopping cart – just in case something jumped out or something you were looking at the last time you visited the store is still in there! Please review what you have in your cart before paying for it.
Once again:
Make sure you have a password for the store that works (you will most likely need a password for the store that is different from you old password that still works for the forum).
Look in My Account, scroll past your past orders, and look at the saved addresses and edit them each if they are wrong (remember to press “save”!).
Log in to the store before you place items in your shopping cart (if you don’t, items may jump out when didn’t ask them to).
Review the items in your shopping cart (and your addresses) before you make your payment. And you might want to make sure you’ve saved a current bookmark for the store!
March 17, 2016 at 11:13 pm #943398We added Tanukis and PYO Sushi cats to the store – look in the Pebble Animal category for Tanukis, the Paint-Your-Own category for Sushi cats.
I will hold my breath while we see what happens. An announcement will go out – however those of you who see this post will be first to know!
March 17, 2016 at 11:34 pm #943399got the announcement just fine….got one of each of the Sushi cats….

4. September Raffle Prize 2022 AHD Male GriffinMarch 18, 2016 at 12:02 am #943401I got the announcement and bought a couple of tanukis. I notice that the natural and Red Panda tanukis have up/down quantity buttons and the color shift ones do not.
Is the presence or absence of a quantity button a way to tell which items are one-per-customer?
March 18, 2016 at 1:23 am #943403Logged in, ordered a male and female sushi cat, checked the cart to make sure they didn’t dive out for cover and checked out. Everything seemed to go smoothly with my transaction.
Edit: Did a double check of the cart after everything went through. Got receipts from Windstone and Paypal. But the two sushi cats are still showing in my cart. There is a timer counting down. Also, I use Firefox as my browser. -scratches cheek- I’m wondering if I should remove the two in the cart? Or should I leave them there and just check back after their timer expires?

I had a tanuki I that removed from my cart reappear in the cart an hour or more after I checked out. The tanukis that I actually bought did leave the cart when I checked out. Also, a color-shift cougar appeared in my cart without my intending to order it.
I have been browsing in the “Pebbles” section at different times this evening, so the mystery critters may be operator error. I’ll continue to watch my cart!
EDIT – the previously removed Red Panda tanuki is back in my cart again. The “Check Out” banner says he reappeared about 4 minutes ago. I wasn’t even in the store then. 😛
Maybe he’s reappearing 45 minutes after I removed him from the cart? That’s just a guess!
EDIT #2 – the previously deleted cougar also reappeared in my cart. Apparently clicking the red X beside an item does not remove it permanently from the cart.
The cart timer started again when an item reappeared in the cart. Now that the timer has expired, maybe the tanuki and the cougar are gone for good. I hope so.
