Hi everyone! Where I've been, updates

Hi all! It’s been ages since I’ve been around on here and just wanted to pop in and see how everyone is. I’m friends with a few of you on facebook so have been somewhat in touch, but really have no idea what’s going on in general! There are so many new grab bags and pretty new colours (unicorns with silver horns?? what!), I feel like I’ve missed so much!

I’ve been really busy with school and have been fairly broke so haven’t been buying windstones or been on the forum much. I was popping on here earlier on my holiday and entered the raffle and STILL CANNOT believe I won, I actually died when I saw it. I’ll definitely post photos here when it arrives. Eeeeeee yay.

My mom actually bought a windstone for me this Christmas… a lavender pearl mother dragon (mother dragon…geddit..haha). She has had issues before with money and credit, so not only do we not usually do presents, we never do “online” presents because she’s never had a credit card before this year. So I was really happy and excited about that. She actually had a ton of issues with Canada post and getting the package, but Susie ended up saving the day and a lot of stress. Basically, windstone is awesome 🙂

For me, life has been okay. School switches between class and fieldwork. My last fieldwork was in acute care on a stroke unit, so it was really high pace and high stress but I learned a lot. We had a lovely 3 weeks off at Christmas and I spent most of it doing art or spending time with friends. We have another semester from january to april, and then two huge fieldworks in the summer. So from january 5th until the end of august I’ll be totally busy again! And then I’ll be finished and have to get a job or something, who knows. Scary!

I figured I’d share some recent art stuff because why not! It’s been so nice having time to sculpt again.

This is a unicorn I’ve been working on. I don’t think I’ll get to painting her before school starts but I like her face and am excited to finish her. My gf suggested the eye colour and I think it suits this sculpt so well!

I’ve been painting dapples for 3 days! I am almost done this guy, he’s a dapple grey andalusian. I’m not sure I have the right hair to actually finish him but I’m glad the painting is almost done. He’s been challenging but fun.

This one still needs a lot of work, but she’ll be a white unicorn running on a snowy type of base with some ice and a tree.

The next few are all finished and up for sale on etsy. They were all sculpted in August, but I got really sick during that time and couldn’t finish painting them.
