So tonight is Bros night at our house (short for brother’s night) It’s the last one that the whole gang will be attending. Me boyohs mate, Adam, will be serving a mission for our church for the next two years and the lucky boy got sent to Hawaii! Ethan has his paperwork done and turned in and Sean is getting his done – now the waiting begins… Anyhoo, we’ll have a houseful (and I do mean FULL) of 16-18 year old boys tonight; no girls allowed (‘cept for me) with movies, games, food, music and noise until the bewitching hour. These kids have been very sweet about including me in the games (which I’ve declined ’cause it’s just too funny to watch ’em 🙂 ) and I’ll really miss ’em once they’ve all grown up and left. I don’t know of any other group of young men that would include a 50 year old mum in their parties and shenanigans. I try to stay in the background and keep ’em fed, but they’re sorta like gremlins… The decibels can get pretty high and my ears’ll ring for the next coupla days but it’s definitely worth it just to have the honor of being their ‘surrogate’ mum :bigsmile: Love ALL me boyohs!

They’re currently watching an old flick “Support your local gunfighter ” while playing a game called “Bang!”. Sounds like a Risk tournament is planned for later…

That’s great! He will have fun in Hawaii! I ended up joining the church because of my mom meeting the missionaries walking down the street and it’s changed my life in a lot of good ways. So he’s going to be doing good work!
