I don’t want to think about it! Summer is already way to short! Its not happening, we still have another 2 months! 😛We haven’t gotten snow yet but its been cold and rainy and the mountains have gotten snow, I know its just a matter of time…. time to start looking for new winter boots 😉

Where do you guys live, the North Pole?? It’s AUGUST, for Pete’s sake! Earthquake weather here in California – hot, a little muggy….. I’m sitting here bemoaning the fact that my air conditioner has turned itself off for some unknown reason and you guys are talking about SNOW??? The world has gone mad…… 😉I’m in Colorado Springs, and no month here is really safe from snow. We’re in the mountains more than a mile high in elevation. So far, so good this year though. Only a bunch of rain storms, really, and no snow on Pikes Peak yet. One of my trees is starting to turn though, so fall isn’t too far off…
SNOW?!? Agh! No fair! you get snow!! I love winter! and fall and spring,and some summer but August is…yech! It is too warm and muggy here in beautiful Corvallis OR. I want to go out and move heavy rocks around, and do other fun stuff, like clip blackberries…but its too hot! ( am such a wuss about heat)
I can’t wait for the nice crisp fall days! The trees are just now turning a leeetle bit reddish on the branch tips. Can’t wait!Don’t worry Melody, heat really bogs me down as well. I burn to a crisp within ten minutes of being in the good old Colorado sun (curse you Irish skin!) I hope we get some rain soon, rain is my favorite ^^

We’re on the bench of Mt. Timpanogos, Provo canyon, Utah Valley and while the snow is now gone (thankfully) we’re dealing with flooding basements – wet carpet, soggy wall board, swollen woodwork, nasty smell, the whole nine yards… Working desperately to shelter window wells as best as possible between massive thunderstorms; the sort you don’t want to be out in, where your hair stands up from static electricity. The boyohs and their friends are out helping bail and build well covers and general clean up… Since mum is widowed and I’m spouse-less we seem to be the focus of the help…
I worry about my friends and family in the Napa Area – so far, so good – I know all about earthquake weather having grown up in the Bay Area (I’m also a wuss when it comes to heat :p ) and hope all of our Windstone Family there are suffering no great damage. Wish some of this wet weather would stay in Cali as they need it sooo badly!
