My name is Jody, I’m a single mom to four great kids, and they are the most important beings in my life. After them, I have two kitties (Schmendrick and Zeus). I’m an avid quilter, and have a real love for fabrics/textiles. I am a freak for Griffins, Dragons, and now that I have read the comic on this website, I’m a big fan of those adorable Poads! I can’t wait to learn more about them, they are stinkin’ adorable! Um . . . I dunno what else to say. Haha! I’d like to learn how to paint my own anything, someday, and I hope that the grab bag stuff can one day include griffin chicks or something, cuz they are my favorite. I follow Windstone on Facebook (it’s the only reason I have an account, haha!) and Pinterst. Um, ok. Nothing else to say! Haha!

If you ever buy yourself a Poad, be warned they are addictive! Poads beckon more Poads I think!Hi and welcome! How old are your kids? Are they into dragons and things as well? Do you have any Windstones yet and if not which are your favourites so far or which would you want to get in the future? Poads are very cool! I started with a grab bag poad and now have a bunch of them in all the sizes. I love griffins as well as the unicorns, dragons and pegasi, oh and the kirins too! I guess I like all of them but my original interest was in the unicorns and dragons and how pretty they were. Do you like the grab bag unicorn colts? There are still a few in stock if you want to jump into the fun of waiting excitedly to see what you get and then trying to trade for a favourite! There are also lots of pieces people post in the classifieds if you are looking for anything.

Hi Kim! I’m 38, but will be 39 next month (August 19).
My kids are 3 girls 17, 15, and 10, and one son, age 12 this month. 🙂 My son is autistic. He’s a huge fan of all things scaled, and recently his pet snake passed away and he’s pretty sad about it. I’ve thought of ordering a commissioned dragon for him, painted like his snake (who he had named Dragon).
I don’t have any Windstones just yet. I’m pretty poor, single mom and all. But I’m saving up! I’d love to have the female mother griffin in the silver wolf color scheme. She’s what drew me to this website. But I also love many of the others! I’ve read someone suggestion to make a monarch themed paint job, like blue morpho only monarch, and I think that would look so stunning!
I am finding that I love the kirin, too. Especially the female collie paint. So pretty! And would love to see one in an okapi paint theme, because I love the look of okapi!
I do think the grab bag colts are pretty. I went online and saw the live video on facebook link and he was showing so many pretty ones I got a little over excited, and was sad when I had to leave early! I suggested grab bag griffin chicks, and hope they make them! I love the crouching chick!
I’m not sure if I can buy one of the colts, I’m scared I’ll get one of the ones I don’t like much. LoL I also thought abut learning to paint, but it seems cost prohibitive for me. I have expensive tastes, apparently! LoL
Anyways, I’m excited to join this community! And to learn more about these wonderful pieces of art! And to join with other enthusiasts!

Also, the kitty in the profile picture I am using is my brown tabby, Schmendrick. I also have a lynx point named Zeus. He’s gorgeous, but never sits still long enough for a good picture. lol
I ended up buying a grab bag poad already! Sheesh! I’m impulsive! LoL
Maybe impulse, maybe you have just been lured into taking the first step on the road that leads to having many, many Windstones. Time will tell! Welcome to the Forum. 🙂

I have a few and love them and your kids probably will like them too! If you ever want to try painting, the small pyo dragons are inexpensive and so not hard to paint. I have painted two so far for swaps and even though I was intimidated to paint them, I think they turned out pretty well and it’s fun to explore your creativity with painting. Or there are lots of members who can paint pyos for you with colours you like. Your kitty is cute too! I have 5 cats at home now. They were all rescued from different places and the most recent female we took in has 4 kittens so now we have little ones running around! I should post more pics of them now that I think of it.

Can you point me in the right direction? I would like to be able to post a picture of my tadpoads when they come, like I have seen others do, but I can’t figure out how to post a picture! That usually is something like Photobucket, though even Facebook will work if you put the photo on Facebook, then right-click on the photo, copy the image location, and use that for your image source here.
