Stephanie, I hope you don’t mind, but I thought I’d copy your comment from the Show your collection thread on light boxes.

I think it’s a great link, I would have never even thought of doing a search for this (whenever I saw the words “light box”, I immediately thought super-professional-unattainable thoughts) and here you found a great and simple solution!

      I used this link: http://www.wikihow.com/Create-an-Inexpensive-Photography-Lightbox

They use cloth, I used two sheets of tissue paper. The hardest part was getting the paper inside the box to lay how I wanted it to lay, and not get all crinkled and wrinkly. I think if I did it again I’d do the inside paper before I covered the holes in the sides. Then I wouldn’t have been worried about cutting the wrong piece of tissue paper.

I also lit it from all three sides.

There was already something similar posted (http://windstoneeditions.com/forum/photographing-windstones-1), where Jennifer gave this link: http://digital-photography-school.com/how-to-make-a-inexpensive-light-tent.

Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.
