Hey everybody! I’m so excited because I finally got my PYO Flap Cat today! In fact, I was so excited that I painted it in a couple of hours 🙂
Anyway, I might still tweak it a bit but for now here she is! I’m a big fan of astronomy and of cats so I combined the two to make: Astrocat!
She has sparkly rhinestones and glitter for “stars” and I wanted to make her feathers look a bit like fiery meteors. I think I might make the stars glow in the dark, too. She also has a moon pendant around her neck.
Hope you all enjoy the pictures!

May 15, 2014 at 2:30 am #912673Ooh! Lovely, I’ve been wanting to see this sculpt painted up. I love the detail on the feathers, very nice color choices too.
May 15, 2014 at 2:34 am #912674She’s really pretty. Great job, especially since you did it in one day. Mine usually take me a couple weeks, since I tend to have maybe an hour of free time every other night to work on them.
I like the addition of the chain too. I’m kind of bummed these guys didn’t have a collar.
May 15, 2014 at 6:13 am #912682That’s so cool! I love space themes myself and those colours and rhinestone look great!
Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!
May 15, 2014 at 8:42 am #912684Awww so cute!! Nice job 🙂
May 15, 2014 at 10:41 am #912686WOOOWWW! She’s very beautiful! I love astronomy too. Her wings look like a firey sunrise. You did a great job on her!
May 15, 2014 at 11:54 am #912691Wow! I think you might hold the record for the quickest paint job after a PYO sculpt came out 🙂
Very nice – I like the fact that the cat matches the table/placemat/poster.

Ha ha, yeah, I have absolutely NO patience when I get my mind set on something 🙂 I have one other PYO (a dragon) and I did the same thing with it. The matching backdrop was a happy accident.. I was looking for something to set it on while I take pictures and my telescope box was sitting right next to me!
Here’s a picture of my happy Flap Cat family (I’ll add this to the first post, too):
